The red light is definitely great for the inside of your vehicle you have both of the Reds great for your point over and got a look at a map for you doing something inside of your vehicle and if your windows I have window tint The red is definitely great for the inside of the vehicle
Not practical for strike designation, and there are plenty of other tools and protocols for that. Also, military tends to use green lights, not red.
For normal nightly use, red is better for night vision preservation, so this flashlight would be great for walking at night or use in an observatory or recreational astronomy. (LEP is a great constellation pointer)
I don't really understand the choice of orange LEDs.
Color of orange flood LED is similar to ~3000K candlelight. There are many advantages of using warmer LEDs in outdoor environment such as attract lesser bugs, less strain on the eyes, etc.
Mateminco does offer additional flood LEDs options such as 5000K, 6500K, and Red if you get from Neal's store.

Great video and very informative! Just a quick question on the colour of the flood LED's. Do you know what Kelvin rating they are because on the video there was only a reading for the LEP. Thanks in advance👍
Glad you find our video useful! As for the Kelvin rating for the flood LEDs, it seems to be beyond range for our Opple Light Master Pro meter. Judging from the beam visually, my best guess would be around 2000K?

Does lumen matter in these lep? or should I go for biggest head for max distance?
Both are equally important. Big head size is a must if you need more than 2km throw.
