‘Gimme Shelter’ on one of the rarest guitars in the world

- This is a 1959 Gibson ES-355 stereo model in black, of which only 3 were made. This one belongs to Chicago Music Exchange. The others belong to Keith Richards (Hence the Stones arrangement), and Johnny Marr/John Shanks I believe. Thanks to Andrew and Daniel at CME for letting me check it out.
Just a rough arrangement of the tune. Will post cleaner version.

Definitely is a special guitar, but the guitarist is definitely more special. Nathan is incredible, one of the best electric players I’ve ever seen

Be very careful man, there’s a lot of Guthrie fans out there who will disagree! But in all honesty, Nathaniel playing is just top notch! Tasty, classy and his arrangement is brilliant as always
I don't think I've heard anyone arrange covers as emotionally resonant as Nathaniel Murphy and yoni Schlesinger. Fucking top drawer.
IMO, if you can play a Brent Mason solo cleanly, as Nathan does, that's plenty fast.
He's absolutely a strong contender - and an incredible solo player. It's a personal thing, but for me, I think Julian Lage would be my personal choice for the current greatest. Just because I think he's the most vocal, emotive and freely expressive. And has more original music writtten. But, give Nathaniel a bit more time to get evem more well and truly established. And also to put out a bucketload of great music playing live, and recording many full albums with other great musicians.
Have had my Red 1966 ES335 since my 14th birthday in 1966.. One Re- Fret since then and still plays like new :) ...
What an extraordinary style! The high E sustain under the bars is beautiful. Also, the gentle bending and pull-offs almost transform the instrument into an entire ensemble.

Very difficult to listen to any other version the song now. Guy has some serious moves.
I tried to comment before but lost it! I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about the artistry - playing and arranging. I'm a low-end player but a high-end appreciator. Worthy of note I watched his tour of the store and was reminded of when I bought a Gibson acoustic in 1970 from a friend and it sounded like I was playing wet wood. When I see a beautiful guitar I now know that it may not sound or play beautifully. Which is why I avoid buying anything I don't hear played by someone who knows the instrument. Which means I am not losing any money. Thank you, Sir Nathaniel.

I have never commented once nor suscribed to any youtube channel or post before after years of youtubing. This guy and his playing has just changed that fact. Phenomenal talent! This guy should have millions of views. Cmon youtube algo's, pay attention to the real talents on your platform and not to stupid shite that goes viral for sheer stupidity.
