I have to thank you. For the first time I've been able to strike my 3 wood and lift the ball up in the air. This lesson also allowed me to start using my 5i with success, I had never been able to do it. Thank you thank you thank you.
I wonder if I need a shaft change. I can hammer my 19° 5w about 235. It has a Tensei AV Blue shaft. My 15° 3w maybe gets to 245 but the strikes are inconsistent and so is the ball flight. It has a Fujikura Ventus shaft.
The easier and better way for average golfers to get a 3/5 wood in the air is to change their shaft. These days shafts are more like the Pros use (stiff and mid kick point) and they do not have enough 'whip' and a low kick point needed by the average golfer. If you are average and 'normal' swing speed then change the shaft - that will make an immediate difference. IMO forget trying to hit it with a perfect swing - just make it easier by changing the shaft. Also, the ball can make a difference too, because most good balls these days are designed for high speed swings - switch to a softer ball and that will help too.
Most golfers should ditch their 3 woods as we don't generate enough club head speed to hit them effectively. I ditched mine and go 5 wood hybrid. I hit my 5 wood farther than my 3 anyway.
Accidentally stumbled onto your channel and was going to switch off! I was a fan of your stuff but stopped watching when you became a bit like Rick Shiels who again I originally liked until his content merely became clickbait and lacked integrity. Anyway liked the video and found it helpful but I do find I’m prone to the occasional top.

I can genuinely recommend his recent game with Lee Westwood. I don't think I've ever seen a better vlog of this type - competitive and entertaining 👌
Please send to Rick Shiels
😂
😂😂😂
Insert his topping and fatting montage with “ol’ bluey”…
@@JoelSmith-hx8tb he no longer has "ol bluey" lol but still he definitely needs work on his fairway wood.
This is the next step for me great stuff. I think this will give me more options into par 5s
Great work as always
Great video, very helpful 👍
I used to do this, was never consistant. I moved to one ball to lead foot from my belt buckle. I have never been more consistant than I ever have.
Fantastic as always
Thanks Pete 🥰
Great video!
Pete trying to go all Dude Perfect and snatch the clipped tee. That said, I am trying the tee drill as my 3 Wood has been a bugbear for me.

Does clipping the tee not damage the face of the club?
Not unless you’re using titanium tees…
That is a driver set up?
I don’t even touch mine
Maybe this’ll help😂
