good intro , but how to you know is ECDIS actually presenting all the symbols on chart , I assume if symbols are missing or are not there it should be noted that something is wrong with presentation of the same ? thanks

If you have the latest software on your Furuno ECDIS, then you will also have the latest presentation library then all the symbols will be there and if there are symbols that do not belong to the presentation library or you do not have the latest presentation library then there will be a question mark on the symbol, telling that it is unknown. you can see the latest software version and presentation library on Furuno.com website I hope it answered your question, if not please write back to me. If you have the latest software on your Furuno ECDIS, then you will also have the latest presentation library
then all the symbols will be there and if there are symbols that do not belong to the presentation library or you do not have the latest presentation library then there will be a question mark on the symbol, telling that it is unknown.
