How Roguelike FPS Succeeds Where Modern Triple A FPS Fails

Modern triple A fps has been in an... interesting place as of late, and it's kinda disheartening to see since I have so many fond memories of big budget FPS games from way back when. However, in its stead ive come across a new nostalgia worthy genre, one that is consistently outplaying triple A fps in nearly every metric there is. So heres my ted talk on that.
