The Bose quiet comfort earbuds II are a complete disaster. Terrible Mic quality , the app doesn't connect well to the earbuds and there are too many other bugs for $299. That's just not a good price.
Your absolutely right on the Bose comfo buds... there's a lady at my office that owns a pair ... and from them on to the case ... im always laughing at how ridiculously large they are... I crap up when I show her my Earfun pros and she's like jeez those are small ... yet louder! And as for Apple buds ... you can't talk to Apple fanboys without breaking there heart... there sycophants to those garbage buds.
I understand your hate for Apple products.... But their airpod line up can't be denied. The new pro 2's have anc that is on the same level as Sony and bose with sound quality right below the sennheisers and better transparency than all other buds which is why everyone compares their transparency to them. Their airpod max is held as one of the best overear headphones in sound quality, anc, transparency and build quality. The regular airpods are one of the best open ear buds. I hate their phones.... But their macbooks and airpod lineup is super solid.
I had a pair of the 1st gen Bose earbuds, but my only issue was I could hear too much pounding when I'd run in them, so I switched them for the 2nd gen of Bose. These are better.

Apple has a tendency to make terrible baseline products to make the "pro" seem better value. The airpod pros are good but still overpriced imo, considering their sound quality (or lack thereof)

I've been using Skullcandy Indy's for 3 years and they're absolutely perfect for my use but am now looking to replace them with something more modern in a similar price range. All these options are getting overwhelming but at least I know what to avoid now.
Linkbuds at $179? Worst earbuds ever. Linkbuds at $79? Best earbuds ever! With the latest update they support multi connect. They actually are really good for phone calls and house cleaning, or when you need to also listen for your dog, kids, or co-workers while tuned into your podcast or music.
I have Galaxy buds 2, I tried my friend's Airpods 2nd and 3rd pro's and I feel like they are much more superior. The sound is cleaner not much bass but dang it's so fucking good. I am saving up money to buy airpods even tho I don't have any other apple products.

He mentions that these are all earbuds you're going to see at stores - popular brands that everybody sees. The only reason anybody knows about raycons is because they spend a massive amount on marketing all over the internet, especially UA-cam. I've never seen a pair of raycons at any store I've been in.
Always hurts me to see Skullcandy on these types of lists coz it's painfully true. Used to be one of my favorite brands but these days they are constantly underwhelming in the bang for buck category. I use and actually like the airpods v3. I specifically wanted them for the open ear style. My main buds are the pixel buds a series and I am absolutely I'm love with them. I don't use anc, so the a series are a no brainer for me.
Weren't the AirPods one of the first commercially viable true wireless earbuds? If so, at the time they were worth the price, since they were the only practical ones to solve the issues with existing wired Bluetooth earbuds (I hated wearing those things if I ever just needed to listen in one ear such as if I was walking or biking). I would never pay the normal AirPods price now, especially since I have multiple lower cost headphones and true wireless earbuds with multipoint capability. However, if it were still 2016 and the only other competitors had terrible battery life, frequent issues with Bluetooth connectivity, and generally poor reliability, the asking price starts to make a lot more sense.

That made them completely unappealing to most consumers especially given the cost relative to better performing wireless headphones. I remember reading commentary from early adopters who stated that their $20 Walmart Bluetooth were more reliable and often produced better audio than the Bragi Dash.
I have an irrational love for the linkbuds. Counter intuitively, if you lower bass to -10 and just rely on the deep bass it can produce a decent mimicked bass. Also I got a used Amazon pair for 130, much better deal.
Sony WF-SP800N, microphone was way too sensitive for callers and it sounded like I was in a popcorn machine. I gave two pairs a chance and same results. Now I’m skeptical of Sony earbuds…

I love my linkbuds! I think they sound great as long as they fit well. Agreed, too expensive. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out the best fit. I'm considering buying a second pair as a back up, love em so much!!
For me the strangest earbuds is B&O EQ I purchase them in deal for 250$ but I get surprised you can't custome the touch controls or they customs at least the most important options like forward or previous song for consumer I pay this amount of money and didn't have my simplest rights from this expensive earbud ?!
I think I'm sensing a pattern. Like me, you *really* don't like open ear designs. :) I think a lot of it has to do with the use case. The situations where you're going to need the open air design over , say, a closed design with a good transparency mode, are kind of niche cases. I mean, if they work for you, more power to you, but when I have earbuds on, I want the music to be my top priority, and then being situationally aware comes second.
How about a top 5 List of earbuds past? For instance, I still like the sound of my original Sabbat E12. There have been others that have withstood the test of time too.
I’m surprised at your evaluation on the AirPods. My gen 3s are fabulous. Under no circumstances could I agree that the sound is “muddy”. The gen 3s in particular were universally praised as having better sound that the airpod pros until the latest version came out. The soundpeats truair 2 which you recommended, have vastly inferior sound to my AirPods gen 2s. What’s more, the AirPods have always had vastly superior microphone quality to anything else out there which during covid, were a godsend when working from home.
AirPods 3 sound amazing considering they're open ear and like their two older brothers the call quality is top notch. Also the build quality "justifies" in some form the higher price tags considering some way less expensive and maybe better sounding earbuds feel cheap and flimsy as hell (specially the cases).
This guy covers more earbuds (including the latest ones) than most creators. This video was to cover the worst value I've seen in earbuds over the years...not just now. Sorry you got your feelings hurt.
I love the third gen Apple AirPods. They are one of my favorites. I have 30 sets of earbuds but I constantly grab them. And for the link buds they are on my number three of all my earbuds. Different strokes I guess

How did Skull Candy ever get famous? They are all so bad. Never come across a good pair of ear buds or headphones from them.

Sony Link buds 🤗 for me is the Most Weird True wireless Earbuds 🤗 and yes with Hole in the middle is not have ANC 🤗
