- This is the 2014 New Years Countdown we did. 5 Songs, Kool & the Gang - Celebration, Rose Royce - Car Wash, Donna Summer - Hot Stuff, Anita Ward - Ring My Bell, & Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancing.
Many thanks go out to Lynn for taking us up!
In case you haven't read the other descriptions in last years videos; This is dedicated to Larry Stewart. My good friends, Larry and his wife wanted to have an extra special light display for Christmas, I was called upon to make it happen. I started planning started early 2011, to gather parts, software, & knowledge that I would need to pull it off... but sadly, Larry had succumb to mesothelioma, a type of cancer on May 15th 2011 before ever getting to see it in person. This is the second year of this light display for Christmas, indubitably dedicated to Larry Stewart.
This display runs 73788 RGB LED Lights, the same amount of DMX channels, pumping ArtNet-II over a gigabit ethernet network at 50Hz, controlled and programmed by me using Madrix.
It draws an average of 10-14 amps, with a maximum of 27.5 amps. So it's roughly equivalent to a microwave or vacuum cleaner running. This pales in comparison to old school Christmas lights. The power bill bump of $30-$50 USD is worth it for all the joy it brings everyone who comes to see it!
To get to us, exit the 405 freeway at Euclid or Ellis exits, travel on Ellis St towards Ward and Ellis intersection, turn NORTH on Ward, get ready to make a LEFT on Apache River into the Greenbrook development. You won't miss us once you travel down Apache River, look for the glow!
Video was shot with a Nikon D800. - Навчання та стиль

Wow really cool...
Awesome display as usual. Just wondering, what are the actual lights that you use? I know they are RGB LED lights, but wondering what specific type and name of the light. Also, I am assuming the spacing between the rows of lights isn't a great distance?
What is the Laser unit that you use in this display, furthermore do you use nay specific software with it?
What speakers did you guys use for the sound system for the audience outside?
what type of lasers are you shooting out of the window???
I'm sure you can see it from outer space- Deck The Halls
will you be doing your light show this year?
Yes they do

i really wan't do something like this :D but. fuck here is snow at winter :d
although the technology and number of adressable pixels is impressive, the programmed sequences are very uninspiring. It's like you had it on that auto function you can use with iTunes.
You're not serious, right?
Like a heart attack
While I can sympathize with your narrow view on "programmed sequences", the effects are meant to be visualizations, adaptable to various music types, not programmed sequences. They are much more complex than simple dimmer pack displays like Light-o-Rama. More of an aesthetic choice of the owners desires, they don't want to be like every other Light-o-Rama display out there. Effects made in Madrix are versatile, the ability to have variation with the same effect and different music is it's beauty.
say what!! Got your minds made up.
,,,, welcome to the United States of LOVE...
