- A state-of-the-art facility that will boost Uganda’s technological and skill base is nearing completion in Kiruhura district.
The National Science, Technology, Engineering and Innovation Centre, NSTEIC will offer training and research opportunities in various technology areas, such as construction, automotive, agriculture, and electronics.
The project, which was launched by President Yoweri Museveni last year in Kiruhura district, is now 97 percent complete, and is expected to be handed over to government by June this year.
This is a bold move from the government..... Uganda is surely on it's way to climb up the chain in technology. Though i wish such a facility would have been in places with a well built infrastructure and a bigger population. If the government had really chosen western Uganda for such a project, Mbarara would maximise its potential other than Kiruhura
I like the way our strategists have considered easy accessibility to such centers.
Unless it’s intended for those in the west.
Anyhow we have one of the most expensive expressways in the world according to Google.
But am still happy for the achievement.
This shouldn’t be built in every district or region
This is good, hopefully it's made functional to benefit citizens. How I wish each region can get a center like this
You people should get to know that this is a bold move by government to push kiruhura as it is still left behind. I support the decision of this government ❤
Why get such a center and throw it in a practically abandoned farm in Kiruhura where the locals are interested in their cows, not modern technology?!!! Couldn’t government find land near a populated area with educated youths who can make use of the center?!!! This looks like another scandal already happening!!!
False confidence: Don't you see that Kampala is overpopulated with industries ,schools, and good universities that make youths more lazy because they want to stay in nearby workplaces,so since it's far away and it well equipped with advanced technology people will be able to leave Kampala and go to where enough space and conducive weather is and people should leave those populated places to boost small cities/towns
Just like any other part of uganda, kiruhura also needs such facilities. Stop politicising everything.
@mwebazetimothy8486 what kiruhura needs is a milk processing plant or something else to benefit the locale. You need to stop with the inept thinking. Not everything is about politics. And Economical and developmental decisions shouldn't be made based on emotions and heritage. What qualified Kiruhura as better suited for this facility for example in comparison to Kayunga, Busia, Gulu or Kabale?
Thank you
Listening to Time Bomb by Bobi wine " ebimu bitulumira muli netusirikalayo"
Innovation center in Kiruhura 🤔 Wabula mujooga😂
😂😂😂😂 Oba nseka ki.... Ekilungi obwongo tebabuwola 😂😂😂
Is this district the best for an innovation center or the usual politically motivated decision-making? Time will tell whether this is not a white elephant at the expense of the poor taxpayers
Gasiya bulolo
Tumbanvu, you want every good thing to be in buganda or Kampala. According to your thinking capacity, you think there's no people who need advanced technology in villages or you think there's no people who leaves Kampala to good schools like in mbarara, kabale, mbale and others? Stop politicizing everything. Even people in that place are humans
@@cyruskisitu1868 I wonder who the tumbanvu is....who talked about buganda?
We need one to be built in Northern Uganda as well, to balance the boat.
@ociradaniel7276 true man probably soon because there's one in namanve for Kampala and around
Boosting Ugandaz technology sector from Kiruhura😅😂😂😂
