    Can I use a BC548 instead?

      Yes, this is also a NPN transistor.

    I have a customer who has a retail PCIe board which was working fine until he upgraded his network to Fibre with 5Ghz nodes and now it wont work so my question is.. Is the 8266 5Ghz or what chip to use in place of 8266?

      Chip ESP8266 use 2.4 GHz

    Hi! I want to do these project but ı have a question.
    Wouldn't it hurt to shut down the computer by resetting it?

    • @erwinew
      @erwinew  Рік тому

      A graceful shutdown via the shutdown button is highly recommended instead of a hard-reset as files may be lost afterwards.

    super thank you for the tutorial...I try with wemos d1 mini work great, but I make another with ESP-01s, and it does not work. is ESP01s supported or not?

    • @erwinew
      @erwinew  Рік тому

      The ESP01 was not tested. You can check if it is supported by ESPHome.

      Esp-01s is supported, it just uses different pins in esphome

    How is the esp powered?

    • @erwinew
      @erwinew  Рік тому +2

      Via a 5V USB port on the motherboard which is always powered.

    I have the same issue too.
    What is resistor R1 1B0E?

    • @erwinew
      @erwinew  3 роки тому +2

      I agree, it is pretty hard to read in the picture: The resistor value is 180 Ohm. Just for a protection to limit current when pin D1 is accidentally set to output.

      @@erwinew hello, the other resistor is 1k Ohm?

    A great idea would be to create a circuit diagram and store it on git. That would be nice

    I have a different plan. I'm using a piston to physically push the power button. 😂😂😂
    Jk, a relay would be the best bet and I think I can integrate a RF reader/emitter to control my RGB too.
