Thank you! Do you know, if I can turn off the signal tons and the light over that? With midea iot it should be the beeper, but that doesnt work here? Regards, Daniel
Nice work! Some questions... Instead of used Infrared Remote Decoder, can't be possible use just simple IR Infrared Sensor Receiver and temperature sensor and directly connect to wemos?
If I got this right, if someone changed the AC's settings using the remote, that wouldn't reflect on HA. You wouldn't get the sensor data from the AC either. Those things are possible on HA with the AC using the Midea/Nethome Plus dongle. I wonder if there's a way to retrofit older ACs with an ESP chip so it would function the same way.
Hi, someone can explain what he mean by connect Input to output directlty? at 4:00. After you have to remove the wire? why at 4:20 the chip have no wire? i dont get it...
I did this today with my mrcool diy minisplit 16kbtu a esp01+ adapter and esphome and midea integration..but im not strong at yaml and i havent gotten my ac to function in HA yet so i need to spend another day on this project U___U, nice dnb music i like

Can I exchange the SHT15 sensor for a SHT35? Because the SHT15 looks like it was taken out of service?
why have you used a light sensor?

In my case, I'm not used IR control, cause IR is not stable and it has dead zone. So I used wifi connect through ESPHome and Homeassistant
Do you sell this gadget? Interested! 😊
Came for the smart air conditioner, stayed for the music lol

You can install an IR receiver to capture any changes via Remote Control and change status in HA. Esphome supports IR receivers for climate.

Where is the wire connection between your circuit box (black box) and AC main circuit if that box is act like receiver?
Damn the music really fits the vibe haha
Thanks for this. Can you post the code somewhere? I couldn't find it on your website. Thanks in advance.
did you ever find the code?
Is it necessary to set the IR remote transmission for each different brand of air conditioner?
esphome provide sevral brands, refer to this esphome.io/components/climate/ir_climate.html
I wish my AC remote had dedicated buttons for the mode it's in and the vent control is manual.
If I turn on the AC with the IR remote does HomeAssistant know the AC is on?
same question :)
@P VW ahh okay , so there is a light sensor that detects light from the power led indicator on the ac. Thats cool.
Thanks for the clarification.
@pw0000 damn, that's smart, i was wondering what was that for.
From where can i get IR database of ACs?
good video
:)
Broadlink ir ….
The music is horrible
