Nice hedge! Will you tell me how old they are? Because I just planted cherry laurels 4month ago. And I wonder how long should I wait until mine are going to be looked like yours. Thank you.
I am deeply disappointed with our Laurel, we replanted in March, it caught 3 days of 0 degree after that and never established good. Leaves are yellow and falling off, plants became light green even they get new leaves and growing higher, now a lot of leaves are rotten at the edges and that rotten parts falling off. I don't know what else to do. Posted on redding photos, hope someone recognize what is happening and give good advice.
Hi Nick. Thanks for the helpful video. I have the same mildew issue. It looks like insect damage but it has the brown corky edges like you showed I have a question though. The RHS link you posted to says it is powdery mildew. But you mentioned downy mildew.
Really helpful video, thank you. I've noticed these problems with my young cherry laurels that I planted late spring. They were doing very well, and now this. I've pruned the affected leaves and will keep an eye on them. Hoping they'll be okay over the winter.
I took cuttings 3 years ago this year some have developed both of what youve just shown im about to plant them in the ground this week ive 25 all about 1 ft tall been tipping them each year to go bushier should I plant them or should I spray them with anything before planting any advice would be most welcome thankyou

Now I can look smart at work. I thought it was beatles. But the bottom north side is the worst part.
there's nothing you can do about it ,,,,then why making a useless video

Frost kill's them...as mine
I don’t think March was a good time to plant. End of summer is as it’ll be in its dormant period.
How did you get on in the end? Did it recover ok?

How are they doing Rachael?
Good video with clear examples, really helpful, thanks.
Thank you very much for the video. Just one question, is it worth to use some systemic fungicide or nothing we could do to help these plants?
Just found the answer to my question in description, thanks again.

Just get them into the ground, water well and mulch. These are very tough plants normally.
@@nickchambers3791 that's what ive done hopefully i will have a good 4' hedge in couple year thankyou
