I would suggest you talk about some of these portable battery systems they can work to power small electronics like TVs and radios, plus they can be moved around the house for other times of the year if say there is no close outlet. Its been great for portable power and some can even run small electric heating equipment.

Solar is great....until it's not sunny. You can still draw power, but it won't be much. Plus, yes, you do need batteries to store the extra energy you collect. I only have a little one, and it works, but it kinda sucked when it was cloudy and I could charge it up fully.

Think your title is the original File Name and not the proper UA-cam title 😅

I found solar and a generator was a lot cheaper than battery backup. If the grid power fails my solar shuts down and my generator kicks on.
In my state a battery wouldn’t save us any money day to day so it didn’t make a sense. In some states where you can sell back power from a battery it may make sense.

Wait until you learn that anything solar is actually more pollutant than oil or gas could have ever dreamed of being and that isn’t even mentioning the lithium ion batteries used to store said energy that the solar panels get

Please don’t buy an open frame generator. They are so loud that I will come over and shut it off. 😮

Battery backups don’t really save the environment. If this is something you really care about then the amount of energy going into making the battery emits just as much carbon as if you bought a gas generator and used it its whole life. This is assuming your batteries last 5 to 10 years. The massive amounts of earth that have to be moved to just start the process of mining then extracting the LI the hauling it then making it into the battery most likely in China then😊 shipping it back to be assembled and then market. Nat gas/propane or gasoline is already one of the step ahead.

Ehhh that wouldn’t even be my argument against it… lithium ion batteries are used to store energy in everything from electric cars to anything solar or wind and lithium ion batteries are more pollutant than gas or oil could ever dream of being

@@Krunch2020 yes I own shares of lithium companies. I know what it takes to mine and transport and refine. Or is that not enough knowledge.
