So sorry for the loss of Kim's Mom. That is one thing that even the best day of fishing can't make better. Alder is a beautiful lake this time of year. I fished it back in the 80's using a small dodger with a pink and white Dick Nite and a 10 ounce weight. Kind of a homemade down rigger set up, trolling around behind the dam, and did very good. Hang in there. Better days ahead.
LMAO my wife has the same enthusiasm when I get her up at 3am to go fishing with me. Also braided downrigger line is way better. No sound easy movement through the water.
It is rough to get a call like that. Condolences. The past several years the water levels have been normal. Unless you are thinking of Riffe? Just 2 years, those really hot ones, where the lake was drawn down. It is always low in the summer to spring. The trout are all coastal cutthroat. Native to the lake. Kokanee are the only thing planted. Fall and spring. We don't use a net unless it is big, usually over 13 inches. Which happened 3 weeks ago. Your video was entertaining. Like being on the water with you.

Thank you. Last time we fished it with trout rods and rubber snubbers. 😆

Thanks for watching Toni. Appreciate it. I didn't see the tell tale red slash under the lower jaw.
