- This is the current anthem of the Vatican City State, voiced in latin.
It was first played in 1950 under request of His Holiness Pope Pius XII, then known simply as "The Pontifical March".
It is mainly without the vocals, and has an alternate set of lyrics in italian, which I'll try to find later.
The latin part has the V instead of U because my font is all-caps, and the capital version of U in latin is V.

I once got asked how I can support the catholic church with all that child abuse.
I simpley replied, that the wrongdoings of some, dosen´t condem the whole Church.
I´m not even that religious, but i life by the virtues and morals of the church and find them important for an honourable live.
And when I actually visit the old church in my village (build in 1250 ca) I fell this inner peace, and it just feels right.
But I wished the Curch would hold up those virtues and morals up more in todays time, insteat of trying to appease peole that were never interestet in our faith anyway.
I think you would be pleased to hear about Traditional Latin Masses. They do uphold the doctrines of Christendom and with zeal. You might have one near you, just look up tlm mass finder.

To be more specific -- Vatican City State has no official anthem. The tune that we hear in this video is the Pontifical Anthem and March -- a song whose lyrics speak glowingly of the primacy of Peter. Thus, the Holy See places strong emphasis on the spiritual nature of the piece, and therefore says it is to be understood only as the Pontifical Anthem and March, and NOT as the "national anthem" of Vatican City State.

You should have more faith. Pope and all other Catholic bishops have decided. Just as Peter and other apostles had right to expand Christianity for pagans and allow the eating of pork they had right to change what they did in Second Vatican Council. Changes of Second Vatican Council don't contradict any Catholic dogmas but your comment does. Every council, after every freaking council in history of Christianity there have to be some smartasses that call the last council heretical. Number of priests and Catholics in the west is decreasing. Church had to become more open. In fact, considering how quickly is humanity changing I wouldn't be suprised if there was another council either at the end of 21. century or in the first half of 22. century.
@@bv5998 Could you provide evidence that the second Vatican council is against the first commandment? Maybe some link or quote from the council? The fact is that if the council is wrong than the Roman Catholic church was never true church. The authority of the pope (the dogma of papal infallibility) and the ecumenical council protect the decisions of the Vatican council. Even if sedevacantism didn't mean that entire Catholicism is wrong it would still mean that the Catholic church has to be heretical atleast since 1869 when the dogma of papal infallibility was defined. Not to mention saint Padre Pio. Both Sedevacantists and Catholics believe that Padre Pio was a saint. But Pio knew that Karol Wojtyla will become a pope, he met him, prayed with him and said to other friars that he will achieve great things. If John Paul II was a heretic than why Pio didn't say anything? Why was he supportive towards Wojtyla? The only thing he criticised him for was that he wanted to be an actor when he was young. Sedevacantism is as much a heresy as was arianism and protestantism.
@@bv5998 Firstly, what you just wrote is only a critique of pope Francis. Even if pope Francis is a heretic that doesn't make Vatican II heretical. Between Vatican II and pope Francis there were other 4 popes. Also, you seem to forget that pope Francis haven't defined any new dogma or doctrine so even if he was an antipope, it wouldn't change catholic faith in any way.
Secondly, thers IS a reason why Catholicism is wrong if Vatican II is wrong. If Vatican II is wrong than the dogma of papal infallibility is wrong and if dogma is wrong than the Catholic church isn't true church, because dogmas are supposed to be truths revealed by God which cannot be changed.
And thirdly, do you really consider the burning of Notre Dame as "evidence"? What about all the other churches that burned in our history in which the traditional altars were destroyed? This isn't a miracle. It's just a building. We aren't in old testament. Churches are just buildings. We honour them because we have mass in them, which is the greatest prayer of all and it is a place of peace and worship but they are just buildings. Did Notre Dame heal a blind girl like Padre Pio? Did the wooden roof of Notre Dame made even tenth of miracles Padre Pio did? No. Every building will be destroyed, every nation will go extinct, except Christs nation, the Catholic church, which is eternal in God.
Besides even if there was novusordo the ONLY ones that have authority to declare a pope a heretic (or an antipope) is a future pope or an ecumenic council, not you.
@@erikkollar66 um, Pope Paul VI himself TWICE made clear that he was not invoking papal infallibility or magisterial authority for the Second Vatican Council (Closing of Vatican II on 7 December 1965 "The magisterium of the Church did not wish to pronounce itself under the form of extraordinary dogmatic pronouncements" and again in an audience on 12 January 1966 "In view of the pastoral nature of the Council, it has avoided proclaiming in an extraordinary manner any dogma carrying the mark of infallibity') so it is possible for a Catholic to maintain that the council made errors (they did) and still be a good Catholic. Please look up papal infallibility, it only applies to when the Pope speaks "ex cathedra" which is defined by very narrow limits. Press conferences on airplanes don't cut it, and even convocations of bishops don't count. The last time papal infallibility was invoked was 1950, when Pope Pius XII definitively defined the long standing belief in the Assumption of Mary (called Dormition in the Eastern Rite Catholic - Byzantine church). A Pope can definitely be wrong when he is not speaking ex cathedra.
The Vatican is very corrupt no doubt.
