I am just amazed how Bach treats the chorales, not just a plain 16 measures but ornamented with interludes and vocal intertwining. Strangely it reminds me of Ives, the way the chorale is sung plainly by the sopranos and the other 3 voices in a different time and rhythm plus instruments playing something completely different. Such a genius Bach is. This group sounds wonderful too!
