Very nicely explained. As a 2020 e-Power owner I now fully comprehend its workings due to your brilliant tutorial! Keep up the excellent work! T'dad & T'bgo are the luckier for having a technician like yourself Jose! 👏👏👏

This is great content. May I humbly suggest: when you shoot video in portrait mode, the video only uses 1/3 of my laptop screen. No way to zoom in closer with youtube on a browser. So please, please shoot video in landscape mode when possible. That lets phone users and computer users get the most out of their displays. Thank you.

Thank you perfect explanation! But I expected it would be more simple transmission with a couple of gears in it. Now I see from your video that it has 2 reductors in one single box with same transmission oil! Thanks!

Great video. I’m more of a Toyota guy, but it’s cool to see how different manufacturers do things differently.
I’d love to see you tear down a Toyota hybrid transmission similarly.

Honda works exactly the same, adding a clutch than connects engine to wheels in certain conditions (when it is more efficient)

Which hybrid here is the same as the Renault Austral where the engine & the electric motor both drive the wheels but not at the same time. The computer gubbins selects it. Compared to e-Power it is complicated more so? Great explanation. I collect my e-Power tmmrw. Excited.

Awesome video-Thanks! I got an Xtrail T33 e4orce. It seems that everytime on start up there is a weird cranking noise from one of the generators that is trying to put extra juice on the battery and maybe warm up the engine. The weird noise has been reported by many epower Xtrail owners. Can you make a video on this? NISSAN claims is std behaviour for this type of engine.

Is it possible to double the capacity of the battery and then tell the engine to *only* ever run at maximum efficiency? Would this make the car run much more efficiently?

To me the main downside of Nissan cars is CVT but this eliminates it, so the reliability should be much better. Regenerative breaking should also save brakes. I have a feeling that this will be very popular.

Loved your video, i own a 2023 xtrail e-Power eforce, it was never clear to me what is under the hood(technically speaking), because when you drive it its feels very different, seeing promoting e-Power videos does not explain when your are looking for more in depth stuff, the inner workings as you just did.
Your video is very enlightening and solve a lot of question i have, but now i have some more. :)
What is the 12v battery in the trunk even for? small voltage app's? some lights and etc? how the car charge the 12v battery? dc/dc converter? because i dont see any typical 12v alternator.
How about the parking feature vs. electric handbrake? In Europe usually we have manual transmission. The parking gear lock is also somewhat new.
Also notice the car drain's battery in cold morning to heat up internally, at least is my ideia.
The AC compressor i already see in another video from you that is HV/full electric.
Keep up the good work. ;)

    • @seltaeb3302
      @seltaeb3302 Місяць тому

The usual 12v battery governs the radio, lights, sat Nav etc. The EV bty is all about the wheels & if that bty malfunctions you can still use the 12v for it's electrical appliances. I presume this but our guru will know answer, if he done so that is.

Love your work. Do you know what is the service interval on paper for the E13 Nissan note?
Is it every 10000kms or 15000kms for engine servicing.
    What about the transmission fluid?

Why the combustion engine is big? I think for e-power technology, the combustion engine size is only like on a motorbike, about less than 500cc

    • @adeelraza2337

500cc weak engine running on full capacity is less efficient then a 1200 cc engine running on almost idle or low revs and only kick in more power when desired on higher loads highways speeds on inclines.

No matter how you try to give this a pretty face, this is very much anICE vehicle, it goes nowhere without the 1500cc petrol engine running, with what I am told is a 6 litres per 100 mile consumption, the petrol engine still requires all of the servicing any other petrol engine requires, so all you have achieved is throwing the two modes together, so it's twice as needy as it needs to be
