for new artists I think its best, even preferable to stick within the style that they broke out with for a good amount of time. refine it, and only move on when you have a consistent fanbase willing to give a new approach a fair listen. so yeah I'd agree I'm glad this album is just a refinement of his style haha

The transitions, crescendos & decrescendos are so damn magnetizing that you don’t even know that new songs are being thrown your way. I didn’t check the time until I was 8 minutes in. I’m so glad that music like this exists. I aspire to have this much clarity in my production.
If you're into seamless composition, check out Joanna Newsom. Cosmia and the whole Ys album is a good place to start. It's a lot different from this (she's a woman who plays the harp and piano VERY WELL) but it you force it for a while she will make you cry. She is so gifted.
Throughout the EPs, I felt like a timelord on space coke, drifting in the universe, my companions beeing...the chipmunks, of all living creatures. Seriously though, this is the most organic electronic composition I've ever heard. An otherworldly masterpiece!

Most electronica music is like Doritos. The seasoning that gets your pleasure centers going lasts 2 seconds and then you're stuck chewing on flavorless corn till you can get that next rush. But this music is like shooting up the Doritos seasoning and partying all night.
"Essentially, these two EPs are about a big battle between Mogu and Tamei," says Malliagh. "Mogu is a Xao, which are these weird shadowy, little beings that are born when Iglooghosts are created. That whole cycle is governed by the Grid Göd, and Mogu wants it all to stop, 'cuz being a Xao sucks. He travels back in time with his fleet and shoots lasers at Tamei (cos he's the baby Grid Göd). Although not as loud and in your face as Chinese nu year, it is still a solid ep. Definitely carrying the same vibes from neo wax bloom. Hope he drops something as fresh as Chinese nu year as his next project
