It was really nice having Walter 🐋 in the shop for a couple of days and we managed to move everything around. The biggest problem being we really needed baked jackstands and although we do have 12 ton jackstands, they’re all being used for keeping axles off the grind. Also, I really preferred the Large red ones that we had underneath the YG so we took a couple of hours out of our day and we managed to move everything around and as you saw and it’s so much better.
Remember, we’re so close to getting this jeep on the grind with its wheels and tires and heading out onto the mountain For the first time. Make sure that you are in and that you enter all money and all donations. Go straight to Tread lightly.

Strangely I understood your dad and I'm not Scottish! That was such a heartwarming scene!
I think one of the things that makes your vids so fun is that you *don't* have a mechanical background so it's nice to see your approach to building/fabrication, and you're learning as you're going. That's fantastic and very educational. And I bet it helps a lot of people too.

🤣 Aberdonian and Glaswegian accents can be particularly difficult to understand. I remember a few years ago when Apple was having major issues with Siri understanding what people from Aberdeen and Glasgow were saying to their iPhones.

A nice cup of tea with a dash of lemon and a bigger dash (perhaps a much bigger dash) of burgundy over ice is one of my goto cooldowns when effective temps here in Tropical Florida start closing in on 120 degrees. When its wetblanket hot and humid no amount of perspiration is going to cool you down.
In dryer climates a hot beverage that will make you sweat can be an effective cooldown too. Location does make a difference.

Ok we keep wondering. What kind of warranty is on the Give Away Jeep?? Is the warranty null and void because of all the changes? And who would want a new car with no warranty?

That’s a great question! The truth is, a trail rig really isn’t meant for everyone and anyone buying entries for this should be looking to primarily use it offroad.
Personally, I wouldn’t have an issue with someone adding $50-60,000 in parts and a solid $10,000 worth of labor to my Jeep, but I could see how some folks would prefer a stock Jeep.
Also, Everything being replaced comes with a warranty that is far superior to anything that comes from Jeep. If you would like, simply look through the Fusion4x4 website. The axles under this Jeep cost $19,000 and come with a lifetime warranty on axle shafts and steering components. I could go on listing the companies and parts that are both superior to stock components and come with a better warranty, but I don’t think that’s necessary. Essentially, my goal was to build a Jeep that any Jeeper would be proud to own.
The good news is…for every giveaway Jeep built to this extent, there are 99 other stock(ish) Jeep giveaways with barely any changes aside from new wheels/tires and a bunch of bolt-on parts - so there are definitely lots of options out there for folks who do prioritize factory warranties.

Yup. The only way to get entries is through the Tread Lightly website and we had that rendering made. It’s fairly close but that drawing was a mix of MM and the giveaway Jeep we built in 2022 (I loved that rig so much too!).
And I definitely love my Jeep! So of course I would want to give the winner something similar (something that I know works & works well!) 😁
