In this clip, China Mac talked about serving a 3-year prison sentence for witness tampering charges and coming home at the ripe age of 21. He went into detail about the subsequent incident that landed him behind bars with Jin and one of his associates which resulted in China Mac shooting the associate and serving a 10-year bid for the crime. He detailed his experience of being on the run for that incident and how it took him across the country.
China Mac spoke of his time in Atlanta while on the run when he stayed with a group of college students and how he posed as a student himself to stick around. He brought up how his mugshot was featured in a major publication at the time and how that prompted his move out of Atlanta.

If China Mac had done a whole bunch of other interesting shit that they could talk about for over an hour then Vlad would have a lot of other stuff to talk to Mac about, but because Mac spent pretty much his entire life in a gang and then in prison because of this situation. You gotta talk about things that the interviewee knows and are entertaining to people that watch. What is Vlad supposed to ask him about his political views or the idea of free will versus determinism? China Mac isn't going to have an interesting or thought-provoking to say about topics like that because it isn't the life that he lives. People that watch Vlad want to listen to shit like this, why do you think stories about crimes people committed or shit like that get the most views compared to the other parts of the interviews Vlad uploads?
Detective Vlad isn't some dude who is trying to get people to confess and get them jail time, he is just asking the questions people want to know so they keep watching interviews.

You only ever say what’s already on public record, otherwise the floodgates may possibly open.
