- Having used the original Blackshark headset from years ago I was looking forward to this V2 release. Although it looks and sounds good, that is the problem. I expect just 'good' when it comes to the performance but when it comes to Razer products the looks have always been more than good- in this case though I was left underwhelmed. Its OK for a £60 headset!

totally disagree - plastics feel premium, light and strong not heavy and cheap. Headband is super comfy, the ear cushions are super comfy too, they have leatherette on the inner and the outer part that makes contact with your skin is a soft material that feels lovely. The metal sliders that adjust height are great, if anyone is bending these they probably shouldn't be using a headset...

I have owned turtle beach 600/ 700 gen 2 / arctis 3/ and the Razer sounds the best... ! the position of other players is absolutely amazing, hearing all the sounds without the mid low or highs being too pronounced, yet you feel totally immersed in the game. Honestly for £49.99 in the UK this headset is unbelievably good.

@@iSHanR no problem with the mic arm moving at all. I move it sometimes but mostly I leave it in the position I want it in. So no, no mic arm problems thus far on my set

I am still deciding which budget headset I want (basically for Teams chats during work on PC, and online chat on PS4). I’ve got really good headphones for Single player gaming and movies, but these sound good for online gaming where mic/chat quality is more important.
I do a lot of gaming with a handful of friends and we use Discord for voice chat. Based on what I'm hearing through the mic in your video, I feel like the mic quality on this headset is actually really good compared to what I'm used to hearing from my friends' headsets when we're gaming. I typically used Edifier heasets because they have good sound quality and are comfortable but the prices have gone up too much on them so I'm considering the Blackshark V2. It seems to be in the top 3 of most "Best Gaming Headset" lists for 2023, which honsetly is impressive for a headset that's at least 2 years old based on the date of your video.
razer isn't a show off company anymore. They are all quality and budget. Don't expect much from a 60 dollar headset look wise. They put all of the budget to the things that will make a real difference in game audio and microphone wise. they did a fantastic job here. also it is very durable and just because it feels cheap doesn't mean its built like that. not that good of a review imo
Razers reputation has been built on design aesthetic that matches their tech specs- otherwise everybody would just stick to the Sennheiser or Steelseries headsets out there- its a good headset but its not as good as it should have been considering how long ago the Blackshark v1 came out IMO

I bought a pair and the mic doesn't work on my pc, I've tried using it on my phone and it sounds quite good. I've tried a different splitter thinking it may be faulty, but it still didn't work. I've tried my older headphones with the splitter from the new headphones and they work. I don't know what to do, I've tried everything.
There IS a razer brand on the pouch. It's because it's hard to see the black razer logo on the black pouch!
I switched from using the Hyper X Cloud II to the Razer Blackshark V2 for a number of reasons. I couldn't have the headset fit properly, wasn't very much lightweight, and the cord came apart way to fast while plugged into my PC for the HYper X Cloud II. Also, I didn't like the fact that when I went to buy the same Hyper X that it wasn't the second time around. I love this Razer Blackshark V2 X and have some questions. I just give people a warning that these headsets aren't only used for gaming or videogames. They are good as well if you work online such as being an academic tutor, online ESL Teacher, or Customer Service. My last headset from Hyper X lasted me almost four years. I am using a desktop. How do I plug this into my PC? Which part am I supposed to use to plug into my PC?

i got this headset yesterday this is not an accurate review the headset is one of the most comfortable headsets i have worn the headset is good quality with crystal clear mic quality (on discord) they sound amazing and the 7.1 does work well and it does enhance the audio.
I'm glad you are pleased with the 7.1- personally I like my sound without processing where possible

All the things you said was nice true and on point , maybe could have been nicer if not compared to the previous blackshark(I can relate to the disappointment in looks) except one that the V2 is not worth the upgrade . I got both of them and the V2 is really a bump up over the V2X (for PC user) Just my opinion though ! Playing with the eq with also give a better sound based on preference. For the price point and branding totally worth it .

It will work fine as long as you don’t use the splitter extension the jack fixed to the headset is a 3.5 aux and sends both input and out the splitter is only for people without a combo jack and only have the separate input and out jacks
How can you make a video calling everything BS betore you've even tried them? Also the mic on the headset is better than the one you used to record the video with. Then you complain about the pouch? Jeeze calm down, its a £60 headset.
Hi, I had the original Blackshark when it was launched a few years ago now- you could tell it was a far more carefully designed and premium product from just looking at it so I was gutted to see that although whilst still nice, it was not close to matching what Razer were shipping a few years back- IMO

You have to use the splitter and plug them in to the back of your pc
we just bought them for my bf cuz of his big ears xD in all honesty that's the only reason we chose this ones but he ended up liking them and all the reviews are okay

I would say, adjust your mic placement. It’s probably because your breathing a lot into the mic. So, just move it away from you if needed

if u play on console, then there is no point getting the v2, as you will not be able to download the software for the soundcard (you can only get the software for the soundcard on a pc). I would say it would be better for you to buy the v2 x as has almost the exact same sound and mic quality.
I need help I really do I have the razer blackshark v2 x and my headset is not getting detected on razer synpase 3 or 2 and I really wanna use the 7.1 surround sound and I threw away the activation code because I didint know so I was wondering if theres anyway to get my computer to detect my headset, I ve all the steps but dont work plss help meee.
You obviously have no idea about the audio, because it was improved MASSIVELY compared to much costier Kraken Ultimate.

Just bought this to replace my void pros, and so far my mic has a static sound to it that won’t go away I have tried to change a bunch of settings and nothing has worked, any help would be nice. I do have voicemod but I don’t think that is the issue.

you use the splitter that is provided in the boxamd u plug the red end into the microphone port usually left and the green end into the headphone audio port usually right

Don't be disappointed they are not bad! They are good for what they are its just the design that left me underwhelmed as I see no reason to buy these if for example I had the Razer Kraken or Steelseries Siberia etc

I dont have those specific cloud headsets but i would recommend avoiding cloud. Their products didnt last more than 2 years for me. And i really did try to be gentle with them.
