He‘s bitter, but incredibly knowledgeable and also correct (atleast about a lot that he talked about). The perfect combination for a juicy shoot interview.
Honky is brilliant here. He's a very smart talent. This is what wrestling will never see again. Yes, he's "shooting", but his charisma, cadence, and condidence is exactly what it takes to create such unforgettable and entertaining interview. I can watch this over and over again.
I never liked him back in the day because he was one of those cowardly heel champions but that's what made him great. He sold that character and I believed everything he did and loved to hate him. Shows he was a great heel and a great wrestler. He's pretty awesome and I appreciate him and what he did for the business.
You know, some people hate on HTM. His ring work, his outspoken shoot interviews, his opinionated nature, etc. one thing you CAN’T critique him for is all the scandals he’s been involved in outside the ring. There haven’t been any.
Have to say I was the guy who hated the HTM back in the day when I watched WWF/WWE but after this interview I see how he has created his own niche and have nothing but respect for him.
I understand this is basically 1 hr 52 minutes of HTM complaining but I love it like fererro rocher, can’t stop partaking 😂 I actually like to hear him slam some of the guys cause quite frankly he’s entitled to do it and he’s entertaining to boot!
You know when I was a kid I didn't like this guy...because he was SO GOOD! But now I can't even think of a better shoot interviewer... Than the guy who started it
To correct htm on 1 thing they did allow Hogan to show his face under that Mr america gimmick one time after jobbing to big show which was his last match in wwe
😂he’s pretty prophetic calling out Ted DeBiase for using his religious platform to avoid taxes…ffwd 15 yrs and Ted & his sons faced prison for tax evasion 😂😂😂
I have seen quite a few shoot interviews with the honky-tonk man. And what strikes me is this guy is a really good talker. And I feel like Vince and WWF definitely did not use him to his full potential. Yeah it was a good gimmick but he should have been on the microphone more
Randy orton with the legend killer gimmick worked out pretty good for Randy. So Htm is wrong about that amongst a lot of other things that I don’t have time to type out lol.
Let's get the facts straight, Honky Tonk, Wayne Ferris, or however he spells his name had one program where he ended up somewhat known, popular, sold out arenas, and it was when he worked with Randy Savage. He worked with the guy that made the money and was really over with the fans either as a face or heel. Elizabeth, his ex-wife, attractive as she was could not over shadow Randy Savage. The reason the belt was put on Savage at Wrestlemania 4 was because he was already a proven money maker by then. Not quite Hogan but since they were losing Hogan to movies and acting he was the next best thing. The Warrior couldn't put anyone over and Savage put him over. Savage could work with anyone. Ted Dibiase didn't get the title belt run because he already had a money making million dollar man gimmick. Why put a belt on that? Honky Tonk needed a belt or was absolutely nothing, permanent mid-card talent. The Elvis type gimmick was a cute idea but even better was all the babyface guys then who were over with fans already chasing him. They would not have put Jimmy Hart with him if he didn't need the extra heat too.
Anyone else think he's too short sighted? If he went in and done his one shot he would've reminded people he was still alive and wrestling, it's the best advertising he could give himself. Penny wise and pound foolish is the term we use for that mentality.
He was one of the highest paid Indy wrestlers at the time. When he said it wasn’t worth it he wasn’t lying. If anything what good does being squashed do? Simply devalues him. HTM wasn’t a mark for himself, he was in it for the money
Christmas Eve 2024. Hanging out at home. Listened to this two times in a row, it's so good.
What year is this interview
New Year's Eve 2024. Hanging out at home. Listening to this for the first time in a row. Reading your comment!!

@@aidanlynn Makes sense
Heels can learn a lot from the Honky Tonk Man!
He‘s bitter, but incredibly knowledgeable and also correct (atleast about a lot that he talked about).
The perfect combination for a juicy shoot interview.
Oh and he‘s also super funny and charismatic
Honky is brilliant here. He's a very smart talent. This is what wrestling will never see again. Yes, he's "shooting", but his charisma, cadence, and condidence is exactly what it takes to create such unforgettable and entertaining interview. I can watch this over and over again.

WOOOO "Where are we partying tonight, Arn?" 😂😂😂
You know, some people hate on HTM. His ring work, his outspoken shoot interviews, his opinionated nature, etc. one thing you CAN’T critique him for is all the scandals he’s been involved in outside the ring. There haven’t been any.
Have to say I was the guy who hated the HTM back in the day when I watched WWF/WWE but after this interview I see how he has created his own niche and have nothing but respect for him.
Greatest shoot interviewee of all time
Best Shoot of them all, Greatest Inter Champ of all time.
Well he was right about the million dollar man lol
Everybody has a price!
Yup 😊
“You gonna crawl back to that Mack Man family Bruno”
I understand this is basically 1 hr 52 minutes of HTM complaining but I love it like fererro rocher, can’t stop partaking 😂 I actually like to hear him slam some of the guys cause quite frankly he’s entitled to do it and he’s entertaining to boot!
I enjoyed this shoot video.
Love him or not he tells it like it is/was. Respect that.
I loved HTM as a wrestler so much...dare i say he saved WWFwhen Hogan was going down and macho man was a complete nut. He's hilarious to boot...
Can you imagine having Honky as a school teacher?...
School would have actually been fun, and more educational. He was a gym teacher before wrestling
He'd be fun on the work christmas night out lol
5:45 😅😅😅
Wayne: is looking for a way back into the WWE!
I think it's absolutely hilarious the way Wayne says Mack-Man.... 😅😅😅
"Where are we partyin' tonight Arn?! Woooo!"
Honky was proved right about Hogan, DiBiase and Flair. 100% vindicated.
You know when I was a kid I didn't like this guy...because he was SO GOOD! But now I can't even think of a better shoot interviewer... Than the guy who started it
HTM: King of the Shoot
All about the $ for this dude. It’s dominating his mind.
Battle Royal underground just got to love it lol 😂
Honky knows his business and smells money or lack thereof a mile away.
That was funny was he said about tna😂😂😂😂😂
To correct htm on 1 thing they did allow Hogan to show his face under that Mr america gimmick one time after jobbing to big show which was his last match in wwe
Honkey hated everybody😂😂😂
Honky enjoys money and I'm sure he would step on the sick and elderly for a buck lol
HTM gold!! Never seen this one
How many years ago this interview done? Early 2000s it seems.
2004.
😂he’s pretty prophetic calling out Ted DeBiase for using his religious platform to avoid taxes…ffwd 15 yrs and Ted & his sons faced prison for tax evasion 😂😂😂
Well, he was right on a right of things. The ones who said he was full of it were wrong.
The fucking best
I have seen quite a few shoot interviews with the honky-tonk man. And what strikes me is this guy is a really good talker. And I feel like Vince and WWF definitely did not use him to his full potential. Yeah it was a good gimmick but he should have been on the microphone more
HTM #1 A to Z needs a run in AEW
Don't know if he's full of s*** or not, but God damn he's fun to listen to.
Honky you are a funny Dude very witty
Oh Brother!
Why the hell did I keep wondering who Tf Mac Man was?🤣😂🤣😂
Randy orton with the legend killer gimmick worked out pretty good for Randy. So Htm is wrong about that amongst a lot of other things that I don’t have time to type out lol.
Calling a Pakistani *_"Pakman"_* ? 😄
That's the first time I heard someone use that term.
No vote needed he held the belt the longest.
I wanna know what Liz was doing up at 5am drinking vodka and taking pills
Lex took her to poundtown
His real voice sounds like Elvis's voice.
He looks the same from 90s
MacMan and Tom Prittchard Idk wow?
59:13
He right about alot and was wrong about a lot
Piper is remembered after death. Wayne was forgotten about 30 years ago.
That's the way life works he's not the only one,you die a young hero or live long enough to be a villain
God damn can honky snitch like a pro!
34:11 😂😂😂
Barz
Wayne
No time stamps though :'(
He seems a little bitter to a business that was good to him
2 bitter crybabies Brett Hart and HTM
He don’t want anyone making money unless it’s himself

So short sighted.... He just like Greg can't see how even doing a "job" on TV with a massive audience is better than a win in a high school gym...😂😂😂
full of quotables
HTM is extremely delusional and has no self awareness which is why his shoots are so comical.
Delusional? The guy is a straight shooter compared to 95% of the boys
Exactly
Are you sure he just doesn’t give a damn?
HTM is the King of the shoot interviews so be 🤫!
Anyone else think he's too short sighted?
If he went in and done his one shot he would've reminded people he was still alive and wrestling, it's the best advertising he could give himself.
Penny wise and pound foolish is the term we use for that mentality.
they wouldve beat him and taken the belt off randy orton the next week. i get his point
He was one of the highest paid Indy wrestlers at the time. When he said it wasn’t worth it he wasn’t lying. If anything what good does being squashed do? Simply devalues him. HTM wasn’t a mark for himself, he was in it for the money
i don't like that kind of stuff
To think he was will to work for 500 instead of getting a real job. Guy sack of crap. He should sold used cars. Kenny powers wanna be
He is wrong about so much
