1960s I was the Storekeeper at BELL ROCK Shipyard's Fort Smith later went to Hay River a frequent visitor was the RADIUM KING now i believe in FORT SMITH ,During my time found a log book of an old HUDSON BAY PADDLE STEAMER.Cant recall what happened to it, Have great memories of friends made HARRYAMOS ED MISH BERT STROMBERG R.I P MY FRIENDS MANY OTHERS , WENT TO HAY RIVER AFTER BELL ROCK CLOSED AND WAS THEN WAS FIRED FOR A PETTY INCEDENT BY A LITTLE SHIT HEAD ,CHEERS
Well made documentary! I love how the Fort McMurray Historical Society has been working hard to preserve their local history, what an inspiration to all small heritage organizations!
This was really great to watch! I grew up in Fort McMurray during my early childhood, but I left before I got interested in history and as such I've never known much about its past (though I vaguely remember going to the Oil Sands Discovery Centre there). I'd love to go back and see those boats that they've set up.
