“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” ― Carl Sagan

They will cast votes on election night - will they not? If they are very upset with Kamala, they will have the choice to vote for her, Trump, or nobody at all. They expressed their displeasure with Hillary (despite her getting votes to be the nominee) by not voting at all. Don't equate the cultist loyalty with the Democratic elites falling in line with the populism of Kamala. They are completely different. Apples and Oranges as always. It'd be a slow process till it becomes an electoral issue with politicians joining the contention promising to wind up US bases in far off regions difficult to justify.
Ultimately China would like to see US troops off from both South Korea and Japan . If that Giant keeps on growing it'd become increasingly difficult for the Koreans . As Japan grows in military power it'd be relatively easier to fan up the nationalistic tropes.

@@post_eternity No you didn't. But the phrase "Trump bashing" would typically imply a gratuitous or even spurious line of criticism going above and beyond what would be typical and relevant to the situation. If anything I find myself wondering if Ian is holding back so as not to appear too one-sided, although I don't think he's ever made a secret of thinking that Trump makes a terrible president.

@@sieda666 : Agreed. This is my first time here at this channel and I wanted to see their political bias, or if there was one. I would argue that the "Both-sides-ism" is actually skewed toward Conservatives. There were many Dem luminaries, Pelosi being the most high ranking, that were out in front trying to get Biden off the ticket, and for Ian to say "there were many" that wanted to keep Biden inside the DNC, I don't think paints a full or fair picture. I doubt that it was even 50/50. Did AOC and Buttigege tow the party line? Yes, but they also fell right in when Harris was nominated. I don't know, that is my two cents. I am undecided about this channel, though it keeps popping up in my news feed.

Elon Musk what an interesting man. To be the richest person in the World. The only thing left is to become a Bond villain.
