I don't play the game myself, but it seems like the reason reynor is doing well with pvz is because he knows how to piss off zerg so well. Spamming statis, obscenely early mothership forcing over production of corruptors, void ray just to deny scouting. And, most importantly, just camping like crazy so the zerg never gets to punish aggression. It all looks like a man who has been whipped his whole life being on the other side of it and knowing exactly where to strike to cause the most pain.
@@draco89123 oh for sure, doesn't hurt that he is also aware that very few people play as fast as he does so he probably knows which actions people are going to sacrifice when they are playing at sub 500 apm. On a side note, the fact that lowko used to almost exclusively post his losses has created a real underdog story for him in my mind. I now root for him in most games.
This type of protoss looks more micro heavy. Statis warp, storm/feedback, unit splits, mama ship, blink, mass defensive building. Looks very effective, but verrrrry hard to pull it off.

Nah, the problem was that, after winning the initial fight and clearing the skytoss completely with ~10 corruptors left over, Mixu added 10+ more for no reason. It was just 2500+ resources down the drain, because Reynor never went back into air. He could have spent those resources on literally anything else and it would have been better, like getting hive/greater spire faster and going into brood lords and/or lurkers.
@@Matt-ln7lb I think that's accurate insofar as the first game was, but the second one Mixu diversified his unit composition from corruptors and still lost bc he had to address the mothership. maybe he should've supplemented his ground army with lurkers instead of brood lords, but even then you still have to deal with the mothership
@@DrOstentorious The second game was more a case of him attacking into an extremely fortified opponent and trading inefficiently for a bit too long, delaying his transitions into a better composition. The Brood lords ended up bathing in storms and he got picked apart, and he had no lurkers or infestors underneath to better deal with the stalkers/templar, and then couldn't defend the outlying bases from zealots.
Lowko there is also a new 2v2 map where the third or fourth expo, has a gas that can't be taken. It's blocked by a structure just barely in 1 corner, and you can't destroy it at all. I kept auto piloting, trying to take it multiple times going nuts.
Hello Lowko, for years now i love your videos and watch daily. In the last couple months or so i seem to notice your titels and thumbnails got more repetetive, and i actualy don't care because the videos are great, BUT it is getting a bit repetetive with titels like "reinvents Protoss" and stuff. Mayby im wrong, but im just trying to make a bit of hopefully constructiv critic :) These cool titels have less effect if used to often, even if it might be true xD, thats all i wanna say. :3 have a great day!

Game1. Lowko: SkyToss is the stuff of nightmare. 15seconds later Mothership plus all Tempests were destroyed. Raynor rolled in Archon ball and won. Having a ton of supply trapped in Corruptor hurts, but Mixu really just got caught in storms of storms while choked on the ramp.
I am a Protoss player, however I think the Hydra can be buffed slightly. Maybe the Lunge could also add an attack speed bonus for a second. That would look a bit like the campaign/co-op hydra upgrade.

Game1. Dunno Lowko, calling that a SKYTOSS repeatedly is crazy. Reynor made 3 tempests and mothership. It was either a bait or he changed his mind about going skytoss because of how MANY corruptors mixu made. for 4 stargate units. Going ultras there was a terrible idea, mixu should have scouted more and seen that the whole army is GROUND with so many archons. There was no stargate unit in sight and he didnt go brutes fast enough.
the thing for me about the viper abductions on the mothership seems so binary to me. Without abduction immunity you rarely saw the mothership because it just got abducted into the zerg deathball and melted. Hugely expensive for something countered by a vastly cheaper unit. Now that the patch has gone through though seeing zergs struggle with the mothership it seems like they need something. Maybe a half distance abduct or something? I dont know
the problem with Zerg air unit is not like Terran and Protoss unit who very versatile at shooting both ground and air at the same time, Zerg doesn't have any of that. Muta is not counted, they are too useless for that job

Not really true. Protoss haven't been straight out buffed in forever (last patch mb, although debatable as well). Really what you are going for is the fact that terran gets buffed even when it's getting nerfed.

I really dont agree with Lowkos take on the new patch. In the first game toss turtled sure, but it was a pretty obvious misread by the Zerg regarding the unit composition, he overmade failed a very commited attack attempt, overmade corruptors, and didnt progess his tech. In the second game protoss was aggressive with oracels and adepts got an advantage and expanded behind it, forcing the Zerg to attack into him. The Zerg didnt make any kind of siege units until minute 14. He didnt expand against an opponent with no map presence. His tech was very late, didnt secure his bases and mismicroed a lot. He could have gone for Lurkers much faster and forced a reaction out of toss, he could have taken the outer bases and reinforced them with spines and spores. Maybe im wrong but it seems to me the Protoss just played a more cohesive style and unit composition.

Make bases, static defense and tech to LURKERS vs storm. It really is not rocketscience. You have 90 drones, you know exactly what your opponent is going for. So follow it up with corruptor broodlord. if you want to allin with hydras YOU DONT WAIT UNTILL YOU HAVE 90 DRONES, because that gives toss the time to make static defense, build more counter army etc. You go as soon as you see a 4th. I have seen diamonds who understand this logic. DIAMOND. There is somuch wrong with this thought process of this zerg, and im really ashamed to see this type of player at this high level. I also feel disgusted seeing lowko pretend this is a normal run of the mill PvZ or how it changes the entire dynamic of the matchup. Reall zergs when they face extreme greed, punish on 50 drones. Reynors 'greed' style gets hard countered by roach ravager timings. This entire series is literally just an attempt of the zerg cabal to nerf toss even more. Completely devoid of what the reality of PvZ is.

Im one of those people who likes that the Mothership can't be Abducted, but I'm also fully convinced Zerg needs something to compete.

It looks like Mothership forces Zerg to build a lot of corruptors. As a result, there is not enough supply and resources for the Zerg ground army.

there is a movement sensor at the lanterns of the base entrance! It lights up any time a unit pass nearby (good to assist against CRs)

The longuest game I've seen was Serral vs Showtime, on this map, and it was a 45+ minutes game !

Increase range of Parasitic Bomb and Blinding Cloud? Also increase the rush period from lunge from 0.71 secs to 1.2secs?

if you want to allin with hydras YOU DONT WAIT UNTILL YOU HAVE 90 DRONES, because that gives toss the time to make static defense, build more counter army etc. You go as soon as you see a 4th. I have seen diamonds who understand this logic. DIAMOND.
There is somuch wrong with this thought process of this zerg, and im really ashamed to see this type of player at this high level.
I also feel disgusted seeing lowko pretend this is a normal run of the mill PvZ or how it changes the entire dynamic of the matchup. Reall zergs when they face extreme greed, punish on 50 drones.
Reynors 'greed' style gets hard countered by roach ravager timings.
This entire series is literally just an attempt of the zerg cabal to nerf toss even more. Completely devoid of what the reality of PvZ is.
