The Punisher is a third-person shooter video game developed by Volition and published by THQ. It was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows; a mobile phone game was also developed by Amplified Games and released in 2004. The game stars the Marvel Comics antihero, The Punisher. After his family was murdered by the Mafia, Frank Castle devoted his life to the punishment of criminals. Players take control of the titular ruthless vigilante to track down and kill criminals.
The game's story is a loose mixture of the 2004 film, as well as the Vol. 4 (2000) and Vol. 5 (2001) series of the comic books. Actor Thomas Jane reprises his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The game features many cameo appearances from Marvel Comics characters, such as Iron Man, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Matt Murdock (the alter ego of Daredevil), Bushwacker, Kingpin and Bullseye. Also present are several characters from the Welcome Back, Frank storyline such as detectives Martin Soap and Molly von Richthofen, the Punisher's neighbors Joan and Spacker Dave, Ma Gnucci, The Russian and General Kreigkopf.

This game has the best, meatiest gun sound effects I've heard.
Ehhh rockstar games actually had the best gun sound effects on PS2 and Xbox surprisingly. I noticed when games became more advanced, the sound effects started sounding more suppressed and less realistic. It almost seems like something related to censorship.
Just imagine if this got a remake.

The graphics and framerate is really good for ps2 and a "movie/comic book" game. Gameplay is also outstanding but can get abit repetitive, you know.. It's a singleplayer 3rd person shooter after all.

You don't luke much to interrogate the criminals, right? I remember when i was a kid playing this masterpiece every single folk i could grab i made then to scream on hahaha. We can find sometimes fragments of memory of Frank Castle doing the interrogations.
What are your settings for this? I can't seem to get it to work properly. If it's not dropping significantly lights and shit are shining through walls.

@@fbiopptap I did.I got it from E-BAY.$80.It came with two controllers and all the cords.It too came with 10 games that I dnt play.I got the Punisher and Scarface.

It’s next to impossible to find the game on disc especially for a affordable price. and it’s on Abandonware but it’s filled with Malware. Plus it’s a hassle having to mount it with PowerISO. Best way to play it is on Console or pc. And the console game is now going for 20-30 bucks easily.

I’m using PCSX2 on a very good beefy PC running a Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 Ti. I maxed out my settings and it seems to play sluggish. Like it’s in slow motion with everything I do. What settings would you recommend so I can fix this issue?
What are your specs? I run an Ryzen 5 3600, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 16 Gigs of Ram on an asrock b550M motherboard and I run PCSX2 on the 1080p setting with 4X on and it runs with no issues just brief pauses here and there.
