I heard angels sing when you opened your closet doors! Love & appreciate the much needed inspo. I loved how you build mini capsules out of an organized all season closet with access instead of the crazy-pack-it-all-up-every-three months-capsule-madness! It's nice seeing that it's okay to have a more than a 15 piece wardrobe! AND to do what works best for YOU!
Thank you for acknowledging we need a professional wardrobe as well as an off-duty wardrobe. Some of us have been required to maintain at least business-casual standards, despite the lockdown. Good tips today.
Aside from admiring your fashion aesthetic, i also enjoy your music background, like something i hear from the XX station which is the only one i listem to.
Here for the “mom-life” module .. tired of looking/feeling like someone that just got bum rushed by toddlers… also thanks for your All-Saint Jaxal review! I pulled the trigger on a pair last week and I have been loving them!
Could you do a video for those of us with “messy lives” please! I live in the mountains and have many chores (lots are dirty/muddy) how to be stylist when you are country/farm/small kids etc
Yes this! My work and home life is messy with outdoor stuff. I'm super hard on clothes as I get really sweaty and dirty often and am hauling heavy things usually. But I so want to feel cute. I have clothes I love that I never wear because they don't fit my lifestyle.
Can relate. I have a dirty job….wear an apron everyday. Plaster, chemicals, wax can get on my clothes but I really have no other place to wear my clothes. I wear what I love and buy strictly second hand so unless I have bought it for dates (ha ha ha) or fancy dress affairs (mostly funerals) I wear it to work and cry when it gets damaged. But my clothes usually cost as much as a cup of fancy coffee at Starbucks. Usually less.
Before I even start watching this I can tell you I'm way more interested in swapping out my wardrobe than any kind of young or mid 40s love 🤣🤣 I'm excited!!
I’ve found I have many capsules. One grey based. One black. One brown. Wore tons of brown this winter due to the fact that I confiscated my sons cords that he grew out of….but also paired lots of brown and blue as my travel wardrobe to Florida in February. Rolling racks are your friends.
I am working towards using seasonal modules. Currently I have two walk in closets one casual everyday and one dress/business. I would like to shift it to current season module and off season (if this makes sense). I also have a full size dresser that can be used (at the moment is full of everyday items for easy access). I am not a minimalist but want to adopt some of those habits. I need help...this video provides some guidelines.
I think my modules are based on colour combinations mainly? But I don’t know that I could do one capsule for spring as the weather here swings so hugely! One day it’ll snow and the next I’m in a T shirt! Layering is obviously key. Love your ideas though and also your accent, it’s very cool 😎
I love the idea of modules. I've tried to pull out things I want to wear for the week, but always end up "cheating" because idk, I'm feeling bloated and skinny jeans won't cut it, or all I want is jammies so I pick the closest things to pjs that I can wear to work . Lol. So maybe I need to make a I feel fat module and a jamjams to the Pharmacy module? What do you think girl?
Love how you describe creating modules “within” a capsule. Having clothes grouped for different activities (work vs everyday casual.) Makes sense in my brain as I try to set up my capsules! Thanks!!
I think I will try this with brown, black, white. It’s one of my fave combos, and I’ve been feeling weird about wearing black with colorful tops... but with a black/white tee or brown shirt I think it could work. Have a pair of mother jeans that are black and super comfortable so would like to figure out how I can wear them with confidence. :) thanks for vid!
So excited to see your spring modules! Maybe a dumb question but do you have pieces in modules that also appear in other modules? I love the idea of having distinct modules but for me there is definitely overlap between mom life, work life etc. does it confuse things if you have an anchor that appears across multiple modules for eg?
Emily, this wardrobe is like a calling card straight to my heart.-Especially with that black windowpane button down shirt I love so much! Are you planning on wearing all black this Summer? I have a vision of you wearing a black cotton shift dress (yes, a dress!) with a sliver of a leather belt around your waist. You looked very ‘Mod’ with your beautiful dark hair and ivory skin. You’re speaking to me through your wardrobe on a subconscious level. It’s very interesting.
Here is Jacqueline from Berlin again. Last Month I had a haircut like you.... and my family and friends are very excited about it. But my Mom says: Uh, ich muss mich erst mal dran gewöhnen, so I heard that and I must so laugh, now my hair grows, also ich lass es wieder lang wachsen😊 I'm so in love with your edginess. Big wishes
I need a whole new wardrobe. Mine is too much of a hodgepodge. Ha! Your short hair is making me want to cut my very thin (lost a lot of it) hair off too.
Hey girl, I have a question. I bought the grey turtleneck from Everlane and it rides up to right under my breasts. I did tuck the piece inside my jeans. Just wondering if yours does the same and should I let them know?
Emily, I really appreciate the way you take all of the drama out of,” I have nothing to wear this season!”. Keep them coming and thank you. 🙏🏻💜

i've never heard of the "module" approach. i LOVE

Oh I'm so glad! A great shoe for Mom life.
@@EmilyWheatley yes.. they’re not as flat and as hard as converse. Got some good squish haha
Yes to mum life modules!
I need to see how you keep your closet so organized! 🤩
It's easy when you only wear black white gray and denim :-)

I absolutely love this idea!! I'm definitely adding it to the list. Will be a few months out as my episodes are planned for the next 2 months.

Haha I love that idea, and can completely relate!! I call that my loungewear chic module, which will be the second module I share :-)
Love how you describe creating modules “within” a capsule. Having clothes grouped for different activities (work vs everyday casual.) Makes sense in my brain as I try to set up my capsules! Thanks!!

💙💙💙 thanks for more of your fab inspiration, Emily 💙💙💙
Thank you! The video I have been waiting for! I never knew how a capsule practically fit in with your regular wardrobe. This was perfect.
Wow! If only my closet looked like yours when you opened the door. Closet dreams. First, let me get my closet in order. 😪
I need to learn how to let go. I have so many things that I will probably never wear but keep for 'just in case'. I need to get over it!
We've all been there, I still have my moments as well.
Such a timely posting. I have been thinking it’s time for me to create a spring capsule

Really Nice gingham jacket
Looking forward to the upcoming videos. L🖤VE your blazer!
It will be one of the anchor pieces for one of the modules
I like it already! (1 min in.) And the new ‘do’ too!👍🏼♥️💋☀️

Yay! I'm building a capsule wardrobe with you. Thank you for this🥰
Yay! That's great!
Yes! This is what I need. ❤️
The module strategy is brilliant
😍 your closet organization system. It’s like your own personalized, tiny boutique.
Where can I get the metal hangers?
I got them from Amazon actually www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NVG42PJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Excellent!!!! ❤️😊
Prefecto! TFS
I lost a lot of weight. I need to obtain a capsule wardrobe and am starting out from zero.
Fabulous! Would you share who makes that great simple black belt?
Thank you so much for helping me organise and minimalise my wardrobe, but I feel that I don't need to watch your re-caps.
