For me the animation reminded me more of the telltale games : the point and click games like walking dead, the wolf among us, back to the future, batman etc.

My favourite point and click game of all time is broken sword the shadow of the templars for the ps1, what a game that was and part of it just happens to be set in Paris, if you haven't played it I suggest finding it you won't be disappointed

Glad you liked the clip ! :) in the end it’s supposed to be the same earth but in the future, they actually failed to reach another world and came back on their own. There is no planet B.

Just explaining the concept of the video, or what I get from it at least. They learned how to travel faster than light through time distortion, so what happened is that they travelled far and got to the same planet (earth) but they arrived maybe billion of years later. Since they were traveling faster than light they didn't aged at the same rate the universe did.
So essentially the meaning of the song/video for me is that we're trying to reach other planets and maybe conquer the space while we don't even take care of our our own planet.
"If we can't take care of the planet we were born into, how can we expect to set up colonies somewhere else in space?".
