@@AquaMalik I'm building a 33 gallon long.. I'm just now getting the substrate together to do a dirted tank. As soon as I get it up and running and planted. I would love to get some of these unique and different fish from you! So until then I'll keep following and learning!♥️
You’re so right. Since I’ve been following you and following your advice/suggestions/recommendations my zebras and out too even when myself or the kids are around they hardly go hiding. Well said mate. Another awesome videos. 👍🏼
I really appreciate your videos.. you are so knowledgeable and you have some amazing fish! Someday hopefully I will be able to own one of these beautiful zebra plecos! Thank you for sharing ❤️👍🙏🌱🐟🌿
Hey mail I been following you in a while I keep watch your old videos especially on zebras very educational. Please do an update on your zebra pelcos especially dates for younger fish I’m getting 3cm zebras tips and tricks of cates would be awesome updated ones.
Well done video, sir. Quite true that “dither fish” create a security blanket effect for bottom-dwelling fish, but choose the “dithers” from top or mid-water feeders. Many of the tetras work well, and zebra danios seem to amuse zebra plecos with the danios constant attitude of “Whoopee! Let’s play!” (Can only speak of my own experience with zebra plecos with zebra danios of course-you may well have a different experience, as there are no two fish within any species that are alike in attitude.) I like your use of shrimp with your zebra plecos…quite colorful and attractive. And pristine water conditions are a must for healthy zebra plecos, and some higher current across the bottom of the tank-bottom current is not easily achieved, but the zebra plecos seem to enjoy a bit of a chase for food. (Once again, I can only speak of my experience with the fish in my care-your fish may be different.)
Hi malik, i love your videos!! Im in love with the zebra pleco. Im gettin a couple in 2 weeks. I was wondering your tank doesnt look to have a lot current? Dou you think they need very high currents? Thx
I am following your advice the best I can. I live in Vietnam ( Saigon) so the water temperature is constantly at 30 degrees, so good for l46. I was wondering, you mentioned tetras. Are black neon tetras good for signal fish?
hillstream loaches prefer temperatures well below 80F and you really can not keep zebra plecos in temps below 80F long term so its probably not gonna work!
I keep guppy with mine, but they will eat from the top middle and bottom! So they will be going soon! I've got some lemon tetra, and I want some of the shrimp u have! Getting 2 more baby zebra next wkend! I'll have 9 then! I find cherry shrimp don't like the higher (27/28c) Temps!
guppies seem to work really well in getting plecos to spawn .. I keep carodia shrimp so its been a bit of something I cant explain ! they shouldn't be able to live in my tap water and definitely not the temp i keep my plecos tanks at.. so I cant explain that one mate .. hoping to breed more of them tho .. both plecos and shrimp! cheers!
Hi Malik, thank you for your content, it's very helpful. ☺️ One thing I didn't understand is, how do the shrimps and Cory's do great? They normally need lower temperatures than the zebras? But yours looking great. Very interesting. 🤔😊
Hello Malik, I noticed you have some neon tetra in one of your tanks. I heard they can be potentially harmful due to a particular bacteria they carry. Please let me have your thoughts on this area please. Keep up the great work! Best wishes!
hey Rio, they can carry diseases just as any other fish can and the only way to safely bring any new fish in to your fish room is by doing a good quarantine of all new arrivals! at this point you will not have any issues (granted fish were properly quarantined and cleared of all pathogens before introducing to main population) a lot of problems arise from not following proper quarantine and not by any defect of a particular fish species! cheers!
Hi malik! Mine don't really come out from the rocks! I've done a 5 min vid on utube- have I gone too natural for zebra pleco! I'd really appreciate your time and opinion! Oh, guna get lemon tetra as tank m8s! Thankyou!
Great Video Malik. Watching all your video over and over again. Great learning experience.can we keep clown loach with L46 plecos? I am abig fan of yours from India. Thanks👍
Hey Malik, I want to keep corydoras with my zebras but I'm still worried they will outcompete them for food. The problem is that I only feed my zebras at night, and the corydoras are also active at night and will eat the food (I've moved the corydoras to another tank for now). This is opposed to some other fish that "sleep" at night like tetras, which will ignore the food. Any suggestions?
I’m kind of curious about that Altum Angel... the legend is that they’re supposed to always be in very dark tannin water because they have no resistance to bacteria... a lot of people have tried... that sounds like an interesting story.
hes in tap water! I quarantined in tannin water with for 8 weeks and did water changes with my tap water since the initial quarantine set up so by the end of quarantine he was in full tap water 7.4 ph 163ppm of TDS and about 100 ppm of calcium carbonate hardness! getting more sooon !

Good explaination! Haveing smaller fish above is key, the magic key! Waterchanges or good waterquality is one too aswell as propper food :)
Very true! cheers mate!
Yeah, Some people can become envious and will act out. It's obvious Malik that You know what you are doing.

Great video! I’m trying to breed up
some Bosemani rainbows for my zebra tanks.
those are the best too Tom I totally didnt mention the rainbows!
how long does ot take a wild caught fish to relax? any thoughts
I don't see any flow current in your aqua.
Why ?
Hi if you could help what about Hillstream Loach ? is it ok with my Zebra pleco gang just with to have some algae eater
hillstream loaches prefer temperatures well below 80F and you really can not keep zebra plecos in temps below 80F long term so its probably not gonna work!

Hi, what foods do you're zebra plecos like? And your L134 plecos?
Hi Ron here's an entire video about this topic ! best! cheers! ua-cam.com/video/V6qdHUk1shY/v-deo.html

@@AquaMalik thank you for your prompt and detailed reply 👍🙌
Hello Aqua Mallick
Noticed some breeders keep their L46 in bare bottom tanks
You have a substrate in your tank
Which is better in your opinion ?
Hi Malik, i noticed you didn't mention otocinclus catfish here. How would they work in a breeding tank of zebras?
i’m also wondering the same right now ..
What are the cory? And what are the shrimp?
Hi Terry, the cories are CW049 and the shrimp are carodia shrimp culls
Eric Bodrock- Be the fish!
hello hope you are well can you tell me how to get plecos i live in the philippines love your videos thanks
hi Owen! check with local importers .. thats your best option I think ! Hope you get some soon!
cheers mate
@@AquaMalik thank you i will try that

tank looks great mate! love it ! not sure why but they all look very healthy
@@AquaMalik they look healthy! That's due to a bit of experience, premium foods and watching your vids! So I thank you!!!!

corydoras will not out compete adult zebra pleocs for food! should be fine together! best! cheers!

What is the dimensions of your L046 tank? Is depth important for them?
Yup. I think of them as meerkat that use other animals as watch
good analogy lol
Can we keep zebra plecos along with clown loaches. Will the clown loaches harm the zebras ? Thanks Malik👍
I wouldn't do it! clown loaches can out compete your zebs for food and hiding places! cheers Prasad
What big black thing pleco eating?
spirulina tablet
And yes zebras are kind of carnivores they needs much more protein than other plecos
Why are you spending money on fish that are nocturnal and you hardly see as they hide in caves most of the time?
When u watch my videos , do u see the expensive fish hiding ever? Or do u see them out not hiding? 😂
