Its like a lunchbox, butty box, snap box, baitbox, call it what you will in your particular neck of the woods, the thing you would take sandwiches to work/school in. However it has a heating element and an internal metal dish so you can put precooked food in (or empty a tin of beans or similar things like a tin of chilli, a tin of soup, a tin of Bolognese, things that don't require cooking for hours and just need heating up) and plug it in to the car 12v or some will also plug into the mains. It then takes about 1 hour to get things nice and hot.
