Though not built alike, he reminds me of the very young Misha Barishnekov, when he first arrived in the West, and the enormous ease with which he covered the stage, his turns, his jumps! He shocked all of us...a new dimension of male ballet performance. Vadim continues this evolution.
I'm sorry to say but please don't compare him to anyone else bc he's his own artist who's called Vadim Muntagirov. I'm always mindful of not saying this one is better than that one and simply dismiss an artist on stage. They're all doing their best to entertain us. This is not Olympics.
There are few dancers who can do the Nutcracker variation finish in fifth with such technical assurance and panache 21:32. Loved Muntagirov's partnership with Klimentova, and now with Nunez.
Yes this entire variation was the most perfect, "easy" looki,g and musical. Each little movement perfectly with music, incredible spped and not any kind of hesitation until the last fifth.

Well, he has grown iand matured into a lovely man...and gorgeous dancer..of many styles. He is a pleasure to the eyes..in a few words, in every way.
That documentary is actually still on UA-cam. It was English National Ballet not the Royal Ballet, though. In his recent book Vadim says that the way they edited it made it look as though he had been slapdash when in fact it was due to a misunderstanding, but they didn’t show the bits of the conversation that made that clear!
Not sure how I’ve missed seeing this amazing danceur noble! Beautiful elegant lines, and such graceful legs. Gorgeous extension of his legs and feet are almost female in their beauty but strongvand masculine at the same time. Bravo!

His elegant true classicism, fantastic grace with gorgeous extension from head to toe, musicality and great acting which are never too overt. I love him and thank you for doing this tribute to him.
A wonderful tribute to a truly wonderful and amazing dancer - possibly one of the best of all time. He is not only technically brilliant and perfect, but is also so lyrical and musical and his partnering is truly astonishing. Ballerinas must long to dance with him partnering them!
