We do have this in America. We used it for my father. They provided any and all equipment he needed from walkers to hospital bed. All medications including the painkillers were provided. And hospice was here around the clock.

Given the high costs of healthcare, assisted living facilities, home healthcare, what an immense comfort, relief it must be for people suffering serious, often terminal illness, and their families, friends to know there is such a caring, competent facility and staff to rely on.

My father was put on palliative care today. I know how all these people feel. I’m trying to get my dad in hospice in my city. It’s a beautiful place. Fingers crossed.

I’m so sorry. My dad died last year after being admitted to the hospital for chemo. He died within 2 months of diagnosis. We used hospice but he never made it to the facility because he died the same day we started with hospice.

For some reason I can see this video, but opening the Together TV channel I get the notification this channel is not available. ... Why exclude the world from this wonderful series?
any way UA-cam keeps suggesting other episodes any way at times. LOL
When even the UK and The Netherlands cant come together.
And now I am going to see this episode that is just suggested.

Hospice people are human angels. I can't say much more because I'm crying with grateful emotion. Thank you for all kind, compassionate, patient people. I am 80, and recently had a serious vascular surgery. Which was scary, but I seem to be recovering well, even though living alone. I have cared for myself alone, with no help or human comfort. or someone to talk with. So seeing this video of other people being helped .... really touched my heart. The people in this video are in the UK, so I don't know if this extensive help is available to me in the U.S. I'm scared as things are falling apart. And I must care for myself, and have been for years, with no one around. Especially since Covid. I've been alone for 40 years, so am used to it, but being old, alone, and not able to walk well is very, very hard. I wish I could talk to someone about it. Thank you.

I don't know. I was being helped by an organisation before and during COVID and it hasn't recovered to the point that it is doing the same work it used to.
It was one of the few organisations that work with mentally I'll people who need more than an employability course to start working again. It took you when you were too ill to even think about working, you were there for 2 years and hopefully you would have come on so far that you could get into work or further education. I know that's where I would've gotten to without COVID.
Now I don't think they have the funding for 2 years. They've also stopped working with a charity which ran a young adults programme as well. They are trying to run it themselves now. It is more catered for work ready mentally ill people. Rather than people like me when I started. It is a shame.
      We had management problems though.

I know this is a small thing but I'm always worried for Linda seeing her sit so close to the steering wheel. Maybe she has her reasons, but it always makes me nervous. The force of the airbag would have horrendous consequences.

Some people are delusional and think medicine can perform miracles. They are convinced that hospice is out to kill people and can't be convinced otherwise.
