"We have searched the whole world to find you!" "Huh?" The way they said it resembles the moment when Aang found out he's the Avatar so much. I love it!
my favorite part of the entire show so far, is whenever iroh asked zuko, “do you have a plan?” and zuko goes onto rant about how his plan is his honor and stuff, iroh says “so no plan?” “i’m working on it uncle” 😭
Kind of Gives me the same vibe as. Star killer from star wars and Hayden Christiansen coming bakc for OBI wan . The fact that they are actual fans and correct things when they’re wrong is just amazing . Like Daniel said when fans are making the project they pay way more attention to execution n what not
they already did it wrong with the classic intro clip but im watching this for the experience. its really different to watch it in live-action and although they aren't that faithful to the OG, they know what's important and did their best to translate it to live action.
Sometimes that passion leads to unrealistic expectations, clouds and biases their judgement and experience, and tends to unfairly tilt reception in a negative trend which can lead to unwarranted consequences. I personally don’t care about or find any weight in the opinions of such people…
Dallas and Paul nailed it!!!! They are their characters. I was totally immersed with them. Incredible performances. Honestly how the show handled all the fire nation characters is just chef’s kiss!! Perfect! 🔥
Mr.paul will be amazing as uncle uroh 😊 Mr Paul Hyung Lee sun was amazing last night I have watched the Avatar the last Airbender TV series on Netflix and I have watched all 8 episodes in one night I loved the series and I really hope the cast and crew and directors will be returning to be busy. Workjng on season 2 And I love and respect the character of Paul Hyung Lee sun for his portrayal as the character role of uncle uroh. I laugh and I cried when the character had so many lost of sadness he lost his son Lu Tien in battle and his brother fire Lord ozai as a brother Dallas liu as Prince Zuko lost his father's respect and hs has to fight his own sister that is going to be a tough one In every sad emotional scenes of general uncle uroh and Prince Zuko I can't help myself from crying 😭😔
I’m remembering back to when they cast Gordon that so many people were like “He looks tiny! He’s too young! Him and Katara will be so weird!” They obviously don’t know that puberty is a thing. Haha. Kid has shot up and sounds completely different! Gonna be taller than Sokka and Zuko by season 3. 🤣

im at the finale rn and ive gotta say im so glad netflix didnt fumble the cast was amazing the acting way almost perfect and as a huge avatar fan im honestly satisfied and hyped for the next seasons and other parts of the avatar universe
I know lots of people were not happy that the original writers weren't going to be part of this project BUT maybe that was for the best...As Dante Basco says to Dallas in their character conversation interview, "it's your turn". It is their turn. and they are fully aware of how much the show means to people. I honestly had my doubts. but now i'm rewatching the show for a 4th time. Its is done well and is very respectful to the original story
So much respect for Daniel Dae Kim, the Agni Kai scene shows a worried father behind the apparent simple cruel actions to Zuko. He really levelled up the character
As "worried" as you can be while burning your child' eye... he definitely levelled up the character, but I wouldn't describe him as a worried father unironically.
This is very encouraging, because idk if any of the cast or the director m night shyamalan even tried to stay true to the original story 😬😬 here theyre actually careful in attention to detail, the whole crew on the show are fans themselves, so they really want this to be good and be true to Avatar 👍🏼
i didn’t realize Daniel Dae Kim was in ATLA, but as soon as Ozai came on screen I was like “those cheek bones… that voice…. Dr. Han???” Amazing that google doesn’t even list Kim or Ozai in the cast of ATLA. I had to read an article to confirm it was him 😂 Kim being cast as Ozai is just perfect, he is both physically perfect for the role and his acting and experience is top knotch. It’s kinda wild to see him in such an aggressive and evil role though, but I’m happy it’s him!
3:00 Daniel is like, "If I'm going to be a part of this..." Dude, he is literally IN the original cartoon, AND in Legend of Korra. He's BEEN a part of it since the beginning! But, then again, taking on Firelord Ozai is a huge step up in rank. That's like straight to the top of the ladder. And I think they couldn't have cast it better. The final fight is going to be LIT! ...get it? Lol xD
Aside from the 4 lead casts, I was really amazed of the acting of Iroh, I really like it when he is on a scene, would like to watch more of him... Also Zuko's father, Jet and Suki... They did not fail on this live action, same with One Piece
It would be so much harder for these actors to actually have to physically act out this show! I really love the original show but I love the new cast too! And those natural cheekbones on Daniel!
I just finished all 8 episodes and I love it 🥰 the changes they did make, made sense to me and didn't bother me at all! They could have given Sokka, Katara and Zuko colored lenses xD and I would have loved to have more episodes, but thats all xD

Has Daniel mentioned in any of these interviews that he's basically an OG to the world of Avatar? lol. He was general Fong in season 2 of ATLA and Haroshi Sato in LOK
Bet y’all didn’t know uncle iroh is the dad from Kim’s convenience. He was my favorite character in that show, he’s so lovable funny and relatable. Best live action iroh 10/10 Omg he is the original appa because that’s what they call him in Kim’s convenience 🤯
You guys are amazing!!! I enjoyed season 1, but I cannot wait for season 2!!! You have awesome energy, and chemistry, and honestly feel like a team Avatar... I just want to see this chemistry on screen... we really don't get that until the end of season 1, which is sad, but this makes me so incredibly hopeful!!!
It sucks that they’re under a microscope and probably seeing such much negativity right now with our fanbase that had such high and specific expectations. Kiawentiio says she always loved this show and grew up with it but she is receiving a lot of backlash now for not being as connected to the group or motherly. Hopefully people take a step back and realize that this is not her intention. If it comes off that way that she’s either being directed poorly or not being caught on film in the best light.
i finished watching the 1st season, and i do hope the writing gets better for the next season. i am rooting for this cast, and i hope this will help their growing carriers.
Although there were major changes made from the source material, you can tell there were some huge fans working on the show based on some of the beloved tiny details from the og that were kept in.
telling to gordon this "we searched the whole world then we found you" sounds like real avatar tho
