Me, too, loving Bruce!!! I had loved Kate since The Rookies, Bruce since I the first Gambler! I also lived for this show -- when it was originally on CBS and later when it was on CBN, I think. When it was on CBN, I couldn't figure out why they weren't showing one episode. My cable company gave me a phone number for CBN and I called them. They told me they weren't showing that one episode because it had hypnosis in it. (CBN is the Christian Broadcasting Network.) They did send me an 8x10 photo of Lee & Amanda, though. I was thrilled. That had to have been probably in about 1989 or 1990 or so. I framed it and had it until I made several moves and down-sized and got rid off lots of things. Durn it!!! Anyhoo, been a SMK fan long time and it is still my favorite TV couple. Got the DVDs and watch it all the time now. ;-);-);-)
I was a child watching reruns of this, and I honestly wish they made more shows like this. its funny and interesting and not many shows can hold my interest for longer then a few seasons. I watch this all the time now and love how it doesn't get old.
For two people that didn’t know each other until SMK their acting on this show together was the tops. They made everyone think they were in love not like the characters they were portraying were 100% in love. Just by the way they touched each other there were probably time they had to go take a cold shower. Because Kate and Bruce put a whole new spin on steamy. Their Acting together was like watching Okean become Bogey and Bacall and Tracy and Hepburn now there’s Boxleitner and Jackson. Whoever thought of putting these two together was brilliant. Why they did go on and do some other kind of show was a waste. They could teach some of these new actors away around a romantic scene. What do you all think.

The SMK Nation that’s what I’m calling everyone that is on this site. We need to let Kate know she’s just as beautiful as she was before breast cancer. After that diagnosis it did a number on her. She had to go through that all alone basically only the producer knew. She went into the hospital under an assumed name after she went home till she went back to work the next week. No one knew what she was going through except her and that one producer. She couldn’t tell anyone or it would be the end of SMK before the end of season 4. Back then the c word was the kiss of death when one of the main stars (Kate & Bruce). She was part owner of SMK her production company along with another one had to keep all the balls in the air to be able to keep everyone employed. I just went through it with my mother and she had 4 daughters and a husband to help her out not to mention Saul of family and friends. To go through that alone had to be the toughest thing to ever do. Then to go through it again and have just a lumpectomy and five weeks of radiation treatments. That’s 5 days a week for 5 weeks luckily she didn’t have to do chemotherapy to. But to have to do it again 2 years but this time a partial mastectomy and Reconstruction surgery. Hopefully she had people there for her that time. It didn’t say what treatments she had to have but it was at least one of the two. She also had to have open heart surgery to close off a hole in her heart she had since birth. Kate your one tough Broad to go all of that and stay as beautiful as you always have. To be able to do he stunts you did in a skirt and heel to not too many actresses can say that. They should give you an Emmy for that.
Yes, she is a very strong woman. Her true talent as an great actress is seen in SMK love you very much Kate Jackson/ Amanda King. You've survived breast cancer and heart surgery. Your privacy is important, but just in case it would be a smashing surprise to see you making a grand entrance in the next reunion.
Just to say, this show stands the test of time. My 12 year old loves to watch it, which is saying a lot since there's a lot of competition for teen's attention these days. Someone do a remake with Amanda and Lee's kid as the spy!

Hell the kissing alone is worth a comeback. When those two kissed they made just about every woman what Lee Stetson kissing them. He gave suck face a whole new something women wanted. They didn’t have to show the bedroom scenes we knew they were in love just by their kissing and the way they were with each other. We need more tv like that some of the 💩 that’s on tv now. They are making all of these reboot shows why not this one Lee and Amanda along with Francine are running the agency and their kids are now the top agents Lee and Amanda can still get out of the office from time to time solving some cases like only those two can maybe by bringing back this show they can get rid of some of that 💩 the are calling entertainment now
Unfortunately they are both too old to do a real reboot. Kate is no longer acting and is 75. Bruce is still acting. But cant do the action stuff and them running the agency would be boring. While I loved them being in love, there is only so much you can do with them coming home to each other at the end of the day and be a "normal couple " They would need new blood with a couple who has real chemistry. A show I love, but got canceled and unlikely to get picked up by a streaming outlet is Timeless and those characters had great chemistry.

She can also do as much of the behind the scenes work that she loves to do now as much as she wants. It’s the kids that will be doing the stunts along with the new agents The Agency are training the just run the joint and if they want to come out from their desks they can but like how Billy did no big stunts. Read what I’m try to do with the New Scarecrow and Mrs King-Stetson/ Family. What I’m trying to come up with and writing in this book/pamphlet some others on this site want me to write. There now in charge of The Agency it’s now a familyl. Lee who was already kind of training for Billy’s job once he knew how seriously Lee and Amanda were getting. You know those Friday mentoring dinners Lee and Billy had. Billy knee Lee needed more of a dad mentoring from him than a boss. So there dinners turned into father and son dinners where Lee could talk about everything including Amanda. Because nothing in those dinners could never be used against Scarecrow. It was just Lee having dinner with his pops. There was also an Agency trial program and Lee and Amanda were the test subjects. It was dreamed up by Harry Thornton, Blue Leader and Billy with everything in Billy’s court. They weren’t happy with all of the divorces happening within the Agency and something needed to be done with it. The divorces were taking place because the spy part of the marriage couldn’t talk about what they were doing and how there day was. The spouse didn’t have the high security clearance to know anything about or even what they did. In Harry Blue Leader and Billy spouses or lovers never asked all they wanted to know was they were the only one in their lives and the spies mad sure they were to. But with this new group even if they were just getting close to the flame for work assignments only. The spouses called it cheating and filed for divorce making the spies unhappy and not really keeping their eyes on their assignments. So the three decided to try to see if marriages worked better if the spies mate had around the same security clearances so they could talk about each other’s jobs even if they had to give the spy’s mate a job at the Agency. All 3 of the gentlemen though Scarecrow would be the perfect spy for the test spy. Billy also needed to clampdown Scarecrow before he got himself killed like a partner. It was ruled not his fault but he never really agreed with that ruling. So when Billy saw how Scarecrow was with Mrs King he thought he had the perfect woman 1 to calm him down 2 to maybe become Mrs Scarecrow. That’s why Billy gave Amanda the job of making sense of Scarecrow’s reports and from time to time going on assignments with him like a partner does. At first Scarecrow was fighting it because he wanted to date her not working with her. But when he got use to having Amanda at his side he got to want to get on the personal side of her to. So Billy was thrilled to hear Amanda was becoming Scarecrow’s Mrs Wright. Dr Smyth was the only one that wasn’t a part of the twosome. That’s why Amanda in some way got to meet with Amanda and see the difference in Scarecrow. Dr Smyth was told about the project and could not tare it apart he had to except the couple even if he didn’t want to or he could be terminated. He agreed with it with a few stipulation that they filled out every page of a contract they had to fill out and they weren’t out on assignments any more he clipped their wings. Which both Lee and Amanda did that’s why they were also deciding to bring their marriage out sooner than later. Lee’s excepted Billy offer to train him to take over Billy’s job. Billy knee there was something wrong medically with him and he wanted to travel with his wife Jennie while he still could. With Scarecrow behind his desk he knew his spies were in great hands with his son. Now Dr Smyth had the job for that Housewife/spy Mrs King-Stetson, his job. But before she could she had to go back to college and finish the Doctorate in Psychology that she started before she got pregnant. Dr Smyth thought she had potential to do as great or even greater job as him. Also with whoever is in the White House wouldn’t mess with her. Because she might not use her keenly trained spy skills again someone in that position. But her husband would if that top level person even put a finger on his wife, and no one would be the wiser. He wasn’t going anywhere where like Melrose and with Billy Melrose training him he could learn to work hand and had with Scarecrow to. So Lee has Billy’s job and Amanda was going back to school and training for Dr Smyth’s job. The couple cold hold hands occasionally they had to have breaks from hand holding. Kisses were okay when they were leaving each other and only quick pecks on the lips. Hugging again was only a quick loving hug. But none of those long romantic hugs arms around the waste strolling down the hallways of the Agency and those sappy long wet kissing session that was for home hours. They occasionally did an out of the office assignment especially when they needed a spy family. Mother and the boys became spies and went through all the training like their mom and Pops did. Dotty was fierce with her gun she named it Howard after her first husband.The boys were trained on guns and knew how to use them. But didn’t get them until they were 18 and their colleagues were okay with them carrying one. Yes the boys went to college Philip became a lawyer like his dad was. Jamie got his doctorate in psychology. When the boys dad Joe died of heart failure a little over a year after Lee and Amanda got married. Lee adopted the boys but he didn’t want them to call him dad they already had one. So put your heads together and figure out what they both want to call him and he’ll go by that. Boys asked Lee if he had a special man that took over for his dad and what did he call him. Lee told him he sure did and that man was also his boss. You boys have met him Billy Melrose and most Friday nights they would have dinner in the same office the 3 of us do now. But he wasn’t my boss like how they do it and I called him Pops. The boys on breaks from college or if they are really needed go on assignments especially the family ones or with their Pops. But they also did assignments together or alone they were at the top of The Agency spy list. Then when they graduated they worked in their fields at The Agency since The Agency put them through college and Law School andMedical School just like their mother. Their siblings were more like their Pops, Spy School was the most school they wanted. Yes Lee and Amanda added to the family. Francine’s family also became part of The Agency to she is The best interrogation agent The Agency has ever had. Francine just gets every little thing out of the KGB spies and all of those other spies from countries that would like to do in the United States of America. Her and her husband had twin girls that are married to Philip and Jamie. Who started liking the younger girls when Francine twins turn about 25. Francine likes staying inside the The Agency walls to keep an eye on her husband Efraim Beaman. The same guy who would foul up Lee and Amanda lunch plans. Remember the Christmas party where he was all over her. She told him not here keep it up it will be never. Well a bunch of the agents that had no family or out of The Agency friends to spend Christmas Eve with met up at that bar near The Agency and had a couple of drinks. Well both Francine and Beaman ended up at her place that night there was a blizzard and for 2 days they were stuck at Francine’s place. There was definitely more liquor than food at Francine’s condo but they didn’t starve to death. But there wasn’t a whole lot of sleeping either. Then that day Beaman had to let Francine into the Q-Bureau how she offered to show him a good time if he locked the door. He was afraid and ran because the night before she told him she was pregnant and he was the daddy.
@@theresakoehler897 That sounds great, but I would miss the partnership and action, not them supervising and Dotti would be too old ( they'd have to recast her as Beverly has died) and I think Amanda would have a fit if her boys were also spies. I wish the show could have continued, do a mid season break, have her break her leg, give an excuse why she's not in the field and then when the next season rolls around she has recovered. It wasn't the same with Francine. They could have done more with the phone calls. Kate could have taped a lot of them, have him mention her more. I could barely watch the episodes without her in them. But again, it doesn't appear that Kate is acting anymore. She hasn't in over 10 yrs

Nobody is going to be replaced we just Knowledge that they have left this world are onto bigger and better things. Their brains were mostly needed inside of The Agency walls their wives were part timers. Because they were raising their kids on their off spy time. The children were with their Great Aunt Margaret. Their Grandpa Lee’s sister he didn’t know about until they started going through safety deposit boxes his parents left Lee. She was born when Lee was 2 so they took her to England where his mother was from and placed the baby for safe keeping. Little Lee was too young to remember with the nuns that raised Lee’s mom. Because her parents died when she was a little girl. They were just about to go and get her when they were killed. They also knew that Lee’s dad’s 1/2 brother they put in their Will to take care of Lee. The brothers had the same mother but different dads that were both killed while serving their country. Because what boy wouldn’t want to grow up on military bases. They told the nuns that someone will come and get her in case of their deaths. Lee’s Uncle The Colonel knew about her and when he was on assignments in London he would go and see her. He kept giving the nuns money to clothe and feed her. But please don’t adopt her out to another family. When they are old enough he wants to get them together. The nuns kept her One day he would tell Lee he had a little sister 2 years younger than him. But Amanda found it first in a box of paperwork Lee has been carrying around with him since e was 18 when The Colonel gave it to him. The picture Lee took out of the box and put into a folder so he could look at them whenever he wanted to. The kids Lee and Amanda had together were just like mom and dad Amanda had no choice. By then Amanda made sure their kids didn’t go deep deep undercover under different identities. Since Lee passed out the assignment after Amanda okayed they spy for the job. The kids knew better than to ask for the really tough assignments that his dad did before their mom became his partner. In the beginning he did but only until he was almost killed and Amanda was told he was killed. Then was just about the only person other than the guys that almost killed Lee Amanda cried went to Lee’s funeral didn’t know he was alive until he walked into her house. When he saw how hard it was and how mad she was he told Billy no more. He never wants to upset Amanda like that again. When Scarecrow said that he knew they definitely had their test couple.
@@sarahswomley2580 Kate will turn 72 in 2020. Bruce will turn 70 in 2020. They couldn't reboot the same series and it be the same because the Cold War is over and the simplicity would be overtaken by technology, etc. But dang girl, don't age her before her time! ;)
They need to go back to shows like this. It was a real family show the adults stuff was all over the kids heads. All the kids see is Lee and Amanda kissing. How we know Lee is spending the night at Amanda’s house 🏡. His mother in-law hands him one of his socks 🧦 that ended up in the house’s wash. He didn’t know what to do with the sock 🧦 and what to tell Mrs West cause he’s not even to the point to call her Dotty or mom or mother. You knew Amanda spent the night at the apartment she came out to breakfast 🥞 in her covers everything robe 👘 Lee’s at the table eating 🍽 what his wife made him for breakfast 🍳 Amanda kiss him with a peck kiss 💋 then goes to get ready for work. Not like the other shows then and know and the kids just thought 💭 they were just a kisses 😘 nothing more. Just saying

Lee adopted the boys but he didn’t want them to call him dad they already had one. So put your heads together and figure out what they both want to call him and he’ll go by that. Boys asked Lee if he had a special man that took over for his dad and what did he call him. Lee told him he sure did and that man was also his boss. You boys have met him Billy Melrose and most Friday nights they would have dinner in the same office the 3 of us do now. But he wasn’t my boss like how they do it and I called him Pops. The boys on breaks from college or if they are really needed go on assignments especially the family ones or with their Pops. But they also did assignments together or alone they were at the top of The Agency spy list. Then when they graduated they worked in their fields at The Agency since The Agency put them through college and Law School andMedical School just like their mother. Their siblings were more like their Pops, Spy School was the most school they wanted. Yes Lee and Amanda added to the family. Francine’s family also became part of The Agency to she is The best interrogation agent The Agency has ever had. Francine just gets every little thing out of the KGB spies and all of those other spies from countries that would like to do in the United States of America. Her and her husband had twin girls that are married to Philip and Jamie. Who started liking the younger girls when Francine twins turn about 25. Francine likes staying inside the The Agency walls to keep an eye on her husband Efraim Beaman. The same guy who would foul up Lee and Amanda lunch plans. Remember the Christmas party where he was all over her. She told him not here keep it up it will be never. Well a bunch of the agents that had no family or out of The Agency friends to spend Christmas Eve with met up at that bar near The Agency and had a couple of drinks. Well both Francine and Beaman ended up at her place that night there was a blizzard and for 2 days they were stuck at Francine’s place. There was definitely more liquor than food at Francine’s condo but they didn’t starve to death. But there wasn’t a whole lot of sleeping either. Then that day Beaman had to let Francine into the Q-Bureau how she offered to show him a good time if he locked the door. He was afraid and ran because the night before she told him she was pregnant and he was the daddy.
@@theresakoehler897 That sounds great, but I would miss the partnership and action, not them supervising and Dotti would be too old ( they'd have to recast her as Beverly has died) and I think Amanda would have a fit if her boys were also spies. I wish the show could have continued, do a mid season break, have her break her leg, give an excuse why she's not in the field and then when the next season rolls around she has recovered. It wasn't the same with Francine. They could have done more with the phone calls. Kate could have taped a lot of them, have him mention her more. I could barely watch the episodes without her in them. But again, it doesn't appear that Kate is acting anymore. She hasn't in over 10 yrs

Nobody is going to be replaced we just Knowledge that they have left this world are onto bigger and better things. Their brains were mostly needed inside of The Agency walls their wives were part timers. Because they were raising their kids on their off spy time. The children were with their Great Aunt Margaret. Their Grandpa Lee’s sister he didn’t know about until they started going through safety deposit boxes his parents left Lee. She was born when Lee was 2 so they took her to England where his mother was from and placed the baby for safe keeping. Little Lee was too young to remember with the nuns that raised Lee’s mom. Because her parents died when she was a little girl. They were just about to go and get her when they were killed. They also knew that Lee’s dad’s 1/2 brother they put in their Will to take care of Lee. The brothers had the same mother but different dads that were both killed while serving their country. Because what boy wouldn’t want to grow up on military bases. They told the nuns that someone will come and get her in case of their deaths. Lee’s Uncle The Colonel knew about her and when he was on assignments in London he would go and see her. He kept giving the nuns money to clothe and feed her. But please don’t adopt her out to another family. When they are old enough he wants to get them together. The nuns kept her One day he would tell Lee he had a little sister 2 years younger than him. But Amanda found it first in a box of paperwork Lee has been carrying around with him since e was 18 when The Colonel gave it to him. The picture Lee took out of the box and put into a folder so he could look at them whenever he wanted to. The kids Lee and Amanda had together were just like mom and dad Amanda had no choice. By then Amanda made sure their kids didn’t go deep deep undercover under different identities. Since Lee passed out the assignment after Amanda okayed they spy for the job. The kids knew better than to ask for the really tough assignments that his dad did before their mom became his partner. In the beginning he did but only until he was almost killed and Amanda was told he was killed. Then was just about the only person other than the guys that almost killed Lee Amanda cried went to Lee’s funeral didn’t know he was alive until he walked into her house. When he saw how hard it was and how mad she was he told Billy no more. He never wants to upset Amanda like that again. When Scarecrow said that he knew they definitely had their test couple.
@@sarahswomley2580 Kate will turn 72 in 2020. Bruce will turn 70 in 2020. They couldn't reboot the same series and it be the same because the Cold War is over and the simplicity would be overtaken by technology, etc. But dang girl, don't age her before her time! ;)

They need to go back to shows like this. It was a real family show the adults stuff was all over the kids heads. All the kids see is Lee and Amanda kissing. How we know Lee is spending the night at Amanda’s house 🏡. His mother in-law hands him one of his socks 🧦 that ended up in the house’s wash. He didn’t know what to do with the sock 🧦 and what to tell Mrs West cause he’s not even to the point to call her Dotty or mom or mother. You knew Amanda spent the night at the apartment she came out to breakfast 🥞 in her covers everything robe 👘 Lee’s at the table eating 🍽 what his wife made him for breakfast 🍳 Amanda kiss him with a peck kiss 💋 then goes to get ready for work. Not like the other shows then and know and the kids just thought 💭 they were just a kisses 😘 nothing more. Just saying
