I think Billy always seen' Amanda's as Lee's Jenny (Billy's wife), but I think Francine always as been in denied that Lee could have a fling with her and fall in love with Amanda and even made Amanda Mrs Stetson (but Billy always seen Amanda's as Lee's equal). That's why as a good friend he hired Amanda to begin with.
Brooke Allen They totally did Francine knew that there was now stopping Lee and Amanda’s love ❤️ affair. Billy if you remember he was the one that kept pushing Scarecrow and Mrs King together. Even when Scarecrow would beg for anyone other then Mrs King. He knew that they would be the perfect couple to carry out his new plan. Since his agents had a hard time finding ❤️ so she got permission from Blue Leader to get a male and female together they both had to have top security clearance. When he saw how Scarecrow was with Mrs king he knew it would be a match. Mrs King was older than Lee by a few years. But that’s what Scarecrow needed because he needed a woman 👩 that could teach him what he needs to do so he could make a relationship last. It took Scarecrow longer than he thought 💭 it would take but since Lee was like a son to Billy he was pleased Lee found his Amanda. Since Lee and Amanda couldn’t hide the love 💕 they had for each other. But Amanda taught Lee that at work they had act like adults. What was aloud was some hand holding in private kissing but nothing more than peck kisses. So none of the kisses that they were famous for. Neither Lee and Amanda knew they were hand picked for each other by Billy. When Dr Smyth was picked to head up the Agency he wasn’t too pleased about Billy Melrose’s pet project with Scarecrow and that King woman 👩. But if they could keep the shows of public affections to a minimum the pair could stay partners at the Agency. Dr Smyth has put a camera 📸 in the Q bureau with out Scarecrow and that now King-Stetson woman 👩. So yes Billy and Francine knew all about Amanda and Lee’s relationship. They also figured out that vacation Lee and Amanda were taking was also going to be a honeymoon to. Since there were times that Amanda wore her engagement ring 💍 that 2 1/2 carat stunner. Only because Lee and Amanda didn’t want her to wear her ring around the house until he asked the boys for their permission at Christmas 🎄. Since people at the office hadn’t noticed Amanda wearing her ring when she forgot to take it off. So the pair decided it was okay for Amanda to wear it there cause what woman 👩 would want to wear a her beautiful engagement ring 💍 stunner other than at dinner with her husband to be a couple of times a week.
Tessa Kendall McKenzie Francine didn’t want to think that Lee would pick Amanda over her because she was more his equal than Amanda. Amanda was older than Lee had been married before had 2 kids how could he want that. Especially with her pedigree came from a rich family that would give her whatever she wants. That’s also why Lee pick Amanda over Francine. Amanda was down to earth and made him fight to get into bed with her unlike Francine. Dean might have gotten in bed with Amanda a little quicker but he didn’t stay to long once Lee was in the picture. Amanda may have been older than Lee but was worth the fight because the right chemistry was there. A chemistry that would last a lifetime something he really needed and wanted just like his mother and pops. He was also wanting to get to know her boys. Since if Lee and Amanda do get married those 👦 👦 boys would be a big part of his life to. Sure Amanda was a few years older but she never felt older to him. Amanda once he was in love with her he didn’t care about the age difference. Francine was more like the spoiled bratty little sister that mom and dad always gave her everything she wanted. He didn’t want that he wanted his Amanda.
@@theresakoehler897 Francine never understood why Billy gave Amanda a job as a spy, and why would Lee would accept Amanda's as partner. So, naturally she would never in her wildest dream think that Lee would fall in love with her, marry her and be a step child to his kids.

Especially since he seen that Lee being a hotdog 🕵️♂️ spy taking every mission like it was his last. Changed when he was with Amanda because he had her protection to think about not just winning the case how Lee use to think of. Even if he wasn’t with Amanda he was still better than he use to be cause he wanted to be able to see Amanda again. He also loved seeing Francine squirm when Amanda the all new to the spy🕵️♀️ business got picked to work with him over her. Francine Desmond that was already a top trained perfect in everything🕵️♀️ spy. Billy knew that once Lee’s feeling for Amanda grew her having 2 boys wouldn’t be a problem. Because Lee has told Billy in confidence that sure he would love ❤️ to have a family some day. But what woman 👩 in her right mind would want to marry a man 👨 in his line of work. Then in the next breath he tells Billy if he finds a woman 👩 who can handle a man 👨 like him in a profession they are in he would love ❤️ to get married. But until then he’s going to meet and get to know every inch of that beautiful woman until then. Well when Billy saw Lee and Amanda together he knew he had a perfect match. He just had to get the couple on the same page as him which at times was a challenge.

You know I was thinking this was in the 80’s and they never showed any bedroom scenes. The show Cheers was in the 80’s Sam and Dianne talked about sex all the time they also got to the bedroom. So why was this show different from that one
Well first Cheer action is in the bar, and Amanda was a respectful house wife, and even though Lee was a bachelor he still was a gentleman with the ladies in contrary of Sam a former football player and a bartender. And Cheer, their dirty joke still was rated R, and even if you take what's her name the other waitress who doesn't like Diane? vs in this case classic snobbish Francine. I mean this is 2 different calibers of actresses. Even if you take shows like Airwolf late 80s, they were hot kisses scenes, but nothing disrespectful. Okay, even if you take JAG 1995, same kind of shows they still were very respectful and not really too much bedroom scene.

Why Lee never took Francine skiing was because early on with his relationship with her he figured out she was more of a sister than a lover. So he put the breaks on their relationship and told her she was more like a sister than a lover. But Francine thought different because she wanted the handsome spy in her bed especially when she saw how Lee was falling for his older partner Amanda King.

Brooke Allen I agree with Tessa they started when they were on the 🏃♀️ run 🏃 in Stemwinder then only on outings off work hours. But would tell her mother that her and Lee had to stake out venues for their next shoot. Don’t get me wrong she made him fight to get her in bed with him. But once there she wasn’t going anywhere they move to his place but had to be home before mother and the boys were up because she was only working late. When they were married he would have dinner with the family circle back after everyone was in bed and would sneak up the trellis (which have been triple bolted the house. But since it’s Joe’s house he couldn’t spend the whole night were a 🧦 sock or two 🧦were left and Dotty was okay with those and kiddy embarrassing her hopefully some day would playfully show him what he left behind. But he was glad that it was just wiped it showed him he left his boxers behind. That’s when they went looking for a new family house. With his parents estate and what the Thomas Hawthorne estate that was left to him. Because Thomas Hawthorne felt bad for his part in a little boy loosing both of his parents at such a young age. For him because HawtpSo they can get the size of house that has lots of room 🛁 bathroom. They hid their relationship because, Lee was afraid it would put her family and them in danger. But I believe they wanted it be just be the two them. They were partners, best friends, and her family became his. Besides Billy and Francine and older uncle Lee had no one else. Amanda was all that he wanted and Lee was all that Amanda wanted.
Sara Chowdry There are yes’s and not quite’s in what you wrote. Yes Lee didn’t want Amanda’s mother, 👦 👦 boys so when he got Amanda back he knew she would ask. But that’s not the only question he wanted to ask Mrs West for her permission for her daughter’s hand in marriage. Since he didn’t know when he would get a chance to without Amanda knowing and figuring out what he was doing. If he did get up the nerve before Christmas 🎄 when he could get the 👦 👦 boys. He got her mother’s permission and could get the 👦 👦 boys at Christmas 🎄. Amanda would understand she couldn’t wear her ring that he had bought a month ago at Tiffany’s. Maybe he would do it at Christmas Eve after he got the 👦 👦 boys permission and before the night was through. But when he got there Christmas 🎄 Eve he let his nerves get to him and didn’t want to go in. Yes the woman he loves did push him into the house where his future mother in-law called him darling. Because they are all important to the woman he loves. So he’s going to do whatever it’s going to take to keep them safe. Since that’s part of what he does for a living and he’s quite good at it. He’s going to use every bit of it to make sure they stay safe. But he also starts to love ❤️ them to once he get to know them. Lee once he openly dated Amanda to her family he knew if he wanted Amanda in his life permanently he needed to do one thing. He got to know them before they got married and even more after they got married. Like Amanda’s Mother Dotty when the two were in California. All that time at the hospital 🏥 waited for word on how she was doing. Sure he had to deal with getting the guy who shot his wife and almost killed her. But every second he wasn’t doing that he was at the hospital where his wife was. Even if that meant sitting out in the waiting room waiting. With his new mother in-law holding her hand and getting to know each other better. The boys he got to know Philip and Jamie even more after they were married to. At weekend dinners and during the week when Amanda and him didn’t have to work late. On the weekends Lee got to know the boys when he took them different places to spend time with them his boys now to. So their mom and grandma could go to things together or things that they needed to get done. When Lee went over to Amanda’s house in Nightcrawler to check on Dotty and the 👦 👦 boys not just for Amanda but to ask her mother’s permission for her daughter’s hand in marriage. Billy was like his dad who had been in his life longer than the 4 years his real dad was. Yes him and Francine dated but only for a short time like all the other women in his life before Amanda. Francine to Scarecrow was the pain in his ass at times and helpful other times. But nothing more even though Francine would love ❤️ to take him back. Because she comes from a family of some kind of wealth. She wasn’t a divorced mother with 👦👦boys.

Leslie was just a good friend helping Lee out to seeing if Amanda really did fill the same way about him that he felt for her. The dinner 🍽 they had that night ended with a make out session. But they started sleeping together in Stemwinder when they were out on the 🏃 run 🏃♀️.
This song is wrong for this couple. This song is about 2 married people having an affair and cheating on their spouses. Lee and Amanda are two people in love who have to hide it because of the nature of their jobs. They aren't cheating on anyone.
