@@coachpillowfists I was watching some top rank undercard where Robert was coaching like half the fighters and he was giving super detailed instructions like jabbing the chest and staying patient, while the other guy's coach was just like CMON MAN, WORK WORK! It's like night and day between RBGA and 90% of all the other gyms lol.
100% bro! I love seeing productive corner work like that. I hate how the Top Rank cards always put you on a commercial break between rounds though 😤. Like bro that’s the most important part!
There you go. Respect for that! And it definitely helps the younger generation that smart boxing is more prominent in the sport today versus the older times when it was more desmadre type of fighting in the ring. They have more technical, intelligent fighters to idolize now 👌🏽
you are the first man who told me about jessy bam, I want to thank you for telling me his name I watched all his fights and studied his style he is my man for now 🥊🥊
The difference I see between them is that historically the Mexican born ones are so more aggressive and less defensively because most of them come from poverty that’s why they always try to please the crowd that pays meanwhile the Mexican Americans although they can be poor as well they are still in USA where Olimpic boxing is a lot bigger since in Mexico boxers don’t receive any funds from the government instead some have to pay to participate anyways Mexican Americans are more defensive because of that and they have better facilities but also that I noticed is that both have that Mexican blood and they will try to get you regardless
Yeah some fighters are kind of flip flopped. Canelo has more of that Mexican-American type of style, and some Mexican-American fighters such as Giovani Santillan have the puro Mexican style.
Angles
Good point!
Bro half the Mexican American boxers are trained by Robert Garcia lol.
So true! 😂 Should’ve been titled Mexican Style vs RGBA Style.

Mikey Garcia also had good footwork and had a solid feint game. Great video! Thank you coach pf!
100%! I think his skills were overlooked by many because his style was nothing fancy. Just pure textbook fundamentals. 👌🏽
Shit i preach to my sons footwork defense and angles i dont want to see them out there brawling every fight

I remember that day! I'm happy you found a style that you want to replicate. Keep up the good work! Thanks Hussein! 💪🏽🙏🏽
@@coachpillowfists love you coach 😘
@@husseinhammoud9865 Thank you! Much love brotha 🙏🏽❤
Luis Castillo vs Diego Corrales 1 is my favorite "Mexican" fight 👍
Well, Mexican vs American-Colombian-Mexican 😆

That is an interesting theory and makes sense. I appreciate your input! 🙌🏽
All the Mexicans in this video were champs and only Bam was champ as the supposed Mexican American
Mikey García was a world champion in 4 different weight classes.
Canelo have Méxican style and Méxican- american style

Mexican style is better than pocho style
Honestly they both fight the same.
Ehh they're both aggressive fighters in their own distinct ways.
