Love to see someone who came from a different corner of music appreciate the music I (still) listen to. Monica was one of my favorites along with TLC and Adina Howard back then.
Before You Walk Out of My Life, Angel of Mine, Like This and Like That, Her version of Misty Blue, For You I Will, So Gone, Until It's Gone, Love All Over Me, The First Night, Don't Take It Personal, she's great throughout her catalog. What's fascinating about Monica is that her first album was mostly record when she was 12-14 years old.
@@bridgethegapreactions yes, she literally gave them singing lessons. Which can be seen on The making of Cinderella and Whitney's 97 Classic Whitney HBO concert. But you'd have to listen to their interviews about Whitney over the tell of Whitney mentoring them behind the scenes, giving them advice. Brandy was closer to Whitney in the nineties but in whitney's later years while she was living in Atlanta she and Monica were inseparable
Another one of Whitney Houston’s babies. Brandy, Aaliyah, and Monica were the new generation of the 90s. It’s nice to see you reacting to all three. Monica started at the age 12-13. You’ll be surprised when you hear her debut album. She sounds like a grown woman. I believe she was 18/19 here
I prefer the studio recording arrangement. Dallas Austin was a genius for using this classical song which translates to "street song" by Handel. Look up Passacaglia. It's a beautiful piece.
Brandy BET performances: " Without You" "Beggin and Pleading" "Say Something/Borderline", or her most recent performance on The Colors Channel : "Rather Be". 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Would love for you to react (check out) 2 of the most underrated singers. Lisa Fischer, live video in Japan “How Can Ease The Pain and Phyllis Hyman, live 1986 video 4:41 (David Brenner) “Living All Lone”. You won’t be disappointed. Let me know if you can’t find those links.
Monica's 1st album is simply a masterpiece considering she recorded it at age 15. The more you dive into her catalog the more you will love her.

I think I'm a bit in love with Monica.

Misty Blue was my track (in addition to all the others). Let's Straighten it Out w/ Usher is an underrated track also.
wow. great reaction! Monica and Brandy were Whitney's industry daughters. The only 2 that can truly claim Whitney Houston mentored them
Oh I actually didn't know that at all! She helped with their singing and how to get on in the music business?

Yaaaay 🎉🎉🎉 You did my fave Monica song EVER ❤❤❤ The music video is amazing, too. Fun reaction 🎉
You're welcome! I listened to the album version a few times last night, such a great song!
@@bridgethegapreactions I had that album on repeat for so long 🥰 So good ❤️
If you love the music during this performance then you really need to react to the video/recorded version ASAP!
I wish you reacted to the one from soul train awards, the speed of this version is not (IMO) one that shows off the song or her vocals!
🔥
Within the last year Monica has a few live short concerts on UA-cam, you should check them out. She is really great live!
I'm definitely going to check those out thanks!

I'll be doing more by all 3, for sure. If I wasn't doing this channel, I'd have listened to a bunch of their albums by now!
Thank for doing Monica, she’s an Icon
React to Monica before you walk out of my life
Cool, thanks!
Yes that’s my favorite Monica songs.
Oh yes.
You have to check out Love All Over Me, just one of her great hits❤
