I just got one of these yesterday and this is now the only brand I'll buy. Previously bought an Aperture so I could have the logo but dang, it takes like 5 minutes to set it up. Returned it an hour after I got it. This thing is literally as fast as opening an umbrella. Huge bonus that according to your video you can store it w/ the diffuser attached. This softbox is a no brainer at any price, let alone for what it costs.
Thank you so much for the time & effort creating this vid! You def helped narrow down my choices with the Glow beauty dishes. Certainly going to pick up a couple of 25s in silver/white. Yeah, dope.
Cool video with lots of useful information. Based on your review in this video, I just ordered the 42 inch Glow EZ beauty dish. Great video and it looked like a fun shoot too. Thanks again, man.
This is why I made this video. I always told myself I wanna make content for people who were like me starting out. A lot of things I’ve learned in the industry were self taught. So to have this platform we’re we can all share knowledge with one another, is super dope to me. Glad you enjoyed the video! More to come. 💪🏾
Thanks bro! I made this video for those who are just getting into photography or those who want to but feel intimidated by it. It’s something I would’ve loved to watch as a beginner photographer.
Love Glow modifiers. Huge Glow fan. I could never reach in and snap the mechanism into place. it's frustrating for me (for the 60" octa, especially, I advise taking the light off the stand, putting the softbox on the light, then putting the light back on the stand. It avoids the possibility of cracking or breaking the light bulb, struggling to attach it to the light without help). Much faster and easier for *me* lol.
Hey I like your videos and especially this particular one. I’m looking into getting the Glow EZ lock Collapsible beauty dish, my question is which inner diffuser(white/silver) do you think is great when it come to outdoor photography
My personal preference would be white. I like when my strobes have softer look to them, compared to the harder light that a silver diffuser would give. That being said, I rarely use the smaller beauty dish outside of a studio session.
are their other mount options ? the lights I have dont have the internal locking mechanism that works with that mount they use an older style of ring that mounts to the outside of the light.
I'm particularly impressed by the strip box. Nice results sir. By the way, I notice you bolted all of your softboxes straight onto your light. So may I ask what mount was that?
@@chazzgiovonni Thanks Chazz. I have Godox AD300 Pro so was hoping that it would be a Godox Mount but I believe that Glow have now come out with a Parasnap softbox which has a native Godox mount. So perhaps that's the one for me. Anyway, thanks for your UA-cam contribution(s)
@@indrajitadvani3742 I’d highly recommend getting the Bowens adapter that way you can utilize the vast variety of Bowens mount modifiers. I also have Elinchrom lights and just use a 3rd party Bowens adapter on my Elinchrom lights to attach all of my Glow softboxes. If you plan on staying in the Godox/ Flashpoint ecosystem, it’d be a great investment to have that Bowens adapter for your AD300 Pro. I bought my AD400 used and mine came with that adapter already attached. Yeah you’re totally right. I do see a lot of male photographers do that. I photograph people. I’m also married and out of respect for my wife, my brand & my integrity, I choose not to shoot any provocative content. Can't go wrong with something that's cost efficient, easy to setup, and pretty well built.💪
Yip. Glow is the way and the light lol.

We use that same cart when we shoot weddings. It’s a life saver 🙌🏼
Yooooo this was a great tutorial! The 60” is a monster but makes for the perfect shoot!
Maaaan I'm a big user of Glow EZ Lock modifiers (I have a ton of them) so this vid is right up my alley haha. Good stuff brotha.
Glad you enjoyed the video man! I look forward to making more content like this. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾

Yes, they do have other speed ring options. What type of mount do you have?
i accidently killed my AD400 battery by leaving it installed. Is it possible to bring it back to life?
What's the lightstand and arm setup you're using?
That’s an Avenger C-Stand pole with a Flashpoint rolling base. It also has an avenger mini-boom attached as well.

Never ever mount the Bowen mount to the light when it’s on a stand. Always take them off
Noted. Bad habit that I’ve had using other light systems. Thanks for the advice 👍🏾
Why is that?
