Kind of funny since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Gladiators Australia both aired on Channel 7 in the mid nineties, not to mention that the movie was filmed in Australia too.
So Neil Waldron is usually kneeling on the travelator with 2 rope holders but this episode there is a cameraman and a substitute for Neil (who is substituting for John Forsyth) but no rope holders.
Kathy: "That felt a lot longer than 45 seconds" Maybe because it was 60 seconds! Powerball changed from 45 seconds in Series 1 to 60 seconds in The Ashes, but I think they forgot to tell Kathy that.
I don't know if Kimberley was joking when she said Predator wasn't allowed to play Whiplash. Possibly his disqualification continued because he only missed 10 seconds of Powerball. But if Predator was meant to play Whiplash then Vulcan would be on Pyramid, which is a game he never plays, in order for all the gladiators to play a game. Hmmm...
I noticed that in this heat and Heat 8, John Forsyth was absent (probably due to a virus), so it's very likely they were shot in the same day. Also, Hammer was absent from the other heats (1, 3-7).
They’d do two episodes a day. If you recall in series 3 mike was sick for one day and John stepped in. When I was in the audience they had two showings one around middday and one in the evening
@@Tubewings Hammer real name Mark McGaw was still playing in the ARL he was playing for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Series 2 was taped in July 1995 in ARL season.
12:38 PREDATOR is RED CARDED for Continually Pushing The Challenger After Being Pushed Out Of Bounds! That means HAMMER & COMMANDO will be 1vs1 with The Challengers for the remaining time!
Whitney was such a bad ref. There were 14 seconds left when Predator pushed the blue challenger out of the arena. And Commando had the same challenger pinned earlier in the match. Is he blind or stupid or both?
@@patcrites5274 The point is, the foul occurred with 14 seconds left on the clock; the whistle was blown with 6 seconds left. It’s not about it being the right call or not. The problem is that it took him so long to stop the game. And he let Commando get away with pinning a challenger earlier in the match. Just a dumpster fire all the way around
@@drewconway7135 Well in my personal opinion the referee actually made the right calls in powerball when he DQ'ed against Predator, and with Comando he did not do anything wrong
@@drewconway7135 By the way even though there were 14 seconds left tin powerball the ref can still red card the gladiator & get disqualified no matter how much time was left
Rewatching these as excited for the new season in 2024 one coming out
A stunt double for the pink ranger! How cool is that 😁

I see that Kathy managed to meet her aim in going on Gladiators. Also her shy laugh made her my favourite challenger.
11:38 WOW HE GOES OUT OF THE ARENA I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT!!!
When it comes to the Gladiators, Commando really meant business, especially being a former Green Beret soldier.
Being against flame vs being against Cheeta is a huge disparity. Cheeta is tiny and Flame is really big
I love how the challengers are in g bangers
😳
25:05 best gladiator line ever 🔥
American Gladiators had the best version of Whiplash. raised platform, no rules about cant touch the floor, and some very intense battles.
I think the UK rules were just as difficult as to score the whole of the gladiators body must be out of the circle. It did happen though.

After the Men's Restart in POWERBALL its now very clear to me that the Gladiators need 3 of them on the pitch instead of 1 vs 1!
That's the first time I've seen a non-American version of Powerball where the Gladiator was sent off for a violation.
Is it just me or were the male contenders THE SAME PERSON?
It's just you.

Does anyone know why the women's outfits keep changing from the leotard-over-bike-shorts to the crop top and briefs? (Contenders, not the gladiators)
I thought maybe it had to do with "slingshot" and the harness they need to wear.
It may have been personal preference. It was the same with the UK Gladiators contestants.
I think it was the women personal preference on what to wear on these Gladiators show

Out of intrest did john anderson ever have a absent on uk resulting in eugine gilt or Andy Norgate doing honers or was it only train2win?
@@AndysTransport Probably just Train2Win because John Anderson never missed a single UK episode (including international shows and specials).

1995 23 years ago they would be in there 50s nowadays like me I'm 52
I live in America, but I have never seen white balls used in Swingshot, it was different
During whiplash against Vulcan it looked to me like Vulcan's knee touched the floor in which case surely it should have been game to Jonathon.
30:00 In The Replay as you suggested, it does indeed appear VULCAN'S Left Knee does touch the floor
VULCAN is DISQUALIFIED & 10 POINTS go to Jonathon
It's hard to tell from a camera angle though. Mike might have seen something different up close
Oh lord
Wasnt a huge fan of Predator as a Gladiator
CliffyD What about the Wolfman?
@@sonicranger8481 the wolfman wasnt on australian gladiators
The stuntwoman is hot throughout this episode but ESPECIALLY at exactly 24:47

The 2 best things about Gladiators are KIMBERLEY and FURY !!
And blade, delta, storm, flame and cheetah, too 😏
