If this song doesn't stir sad feelings in someone. I question their humanity. It's just about the prettiest things I have ever heard.
Now that is good music right there... I wish there was more like this on the radio instead of this hick-hop bull crap! Let's keep the Bluegrass and "Real" country heritage alive... It only takes people who aren't scared of the Nashville machine. That's all.
This is real talent folks, it's a shame that there ain't a station on the radio that only plays good clean music like this . Great job guys !
dw hunter Bluegrass Junction on Sirius XM
They play a tun of crap too.
There are a few of them.... Do a search for Bluegrass In The Valley!!
One of the best natural musicians I have ever heard.

Had to revisit this one. Love it! Couldn't get it out of my head.
Wow. Amazing song, first time hearing it. I was expecting the next verse to be about him getting to see his family or something, plot twist.. great song

can anyone tell me who sings the original version of this song? I heard it on my local bluegrass station tonight and this doesn't sound like the same guy.
+Andrew Osborne It's a song that was written by Daryl Mosley and originally recorded by New Tradition.
The song is about many of f us prodigals !
how's that banjo tuned?
Sings well, but doesn't have - or hasn't chosen - an original sounding voice. Or, put another way, it won't jump out of the rest of the pack of modern country singers.
musik102 This ain't country-it's bluegrass.
@@sclawman Really? The lead singer doesn't sound at all like ANY famous bluegrass singer. Nashville, not the mountains, is his main singing inspiration!
@@musik102 wrong. Tony Rice is one of his biggest influences. Do research
