Don't forget that this world is full of genuine impostors who think they have impostor syndrome.

This is the first I've heard of this being a common state of mind. When you mentioned Tom Hanks it occurred to me that genuine humility is often embodied in his performance. Thanks for talking about about this.

Golly that hit home. Imposter Syndrome. Thank you for explaining it. I have lived with this effect not ever knowing others experienced it too.

I had imposter syndrome for most of my life. My father was a PhD in biochemistry and my brother is a PhD in biophysics. I don't know to this day whether I was much better in science than I imagined myself to be or whether I just didn't like it as much as I thought I should have, but I decided not to be a scientist and became a lawyer instead. I always thought that I had an above average IQ, but only slightly above average.

Paul Cooijmans has developed a view on creativity (and genius, its high end) as a synergy of intelligence, conscientiousness, and associative horizon. The last two thereof are typical of Asperger syndrome, be it not necessarily in all cases where conscientiousness is concerned. This means that the minority of persons with Asperger who in addition have high intelligence are likely to become geniuses, or at least creative.

Nice work, Jeffery! I like it, especially the "fake it til you make it" part.

Cool video! I'm curious to hear your take on popular issues people are concerned about, as genius. It would also be cool to hear just your normal life experiences. Such as dealing with people at work, or the dating world. Anything you say would probably be of some interest to me and many other people. PEACE!

I am a member of the Triple Nine Society. I have graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University (M.S. IT & Telecom Systems) and Stanford University (M.A. Political Science). I am a Program Manager, Principal at a nationally known systems engineering consulting firm. And I too suffer from impostor syndrome.

If I am in 16 high IQ societies, I think I will be quite immune to the impostor syndrome. But the me right now is more worried about contracting the exact opposite of impostor syndrome.

Wait. You're saying that these individuals believe they are pretending to be better than they truly are? Using luck as an excuse? I will explore this further, thank you Jeffery, you may have just assisted me in discovering yet another one of my adults (Not being scarcastic, I am grateful).

It doesn’t make sense to me the “keep moving forward” why? No one cares anyways especially if your talents don’t lie in harvesting devices or shooting rockets up to the moon we’re all gonna die and all that everything is boring. I feel like I’m missing something essential in my brain that everyone else has. I think it’s some sort of drive to do anything. Can you help me with that? No one can. I touch things and let them down one second later. It’s exhausting to be in this state, I also wasn’t really raised. Can you please help me with that? How do I raise myself at 25 when all the processes are done. All I have is biohacking but I don’t see results (fast enough). I would love some help because I try to be a good human being but no one told me things as a kid. All I have is self doubt and struggles. I can’t be in this state any longer. Please, you rarely get the chance to talk to someone with an iq over the 99. Percent thing. Please 🙏🏻 I try to do everything on my own but I’m burnt out and at my wits end. I’m thinking about killing myself on the regular (small lol)

What are your thoughts on albert einstein? I used to follow that kind of genius till about 22, I'm 23 but one day when I was reading about them, their quotes... I discovered new life pathways, those geniuses helped me see the reality... And since that readings suddenly I stopped following them forever. I wonder why. So Yeah I have new things to do... I WISH ONE DAY I WILL HAVE REAL FRIENDS LIKE me. But helpful
