    Great boat Alex, It’s in great shape and what seems to be a lot of little repairs will go quickly with your skills. Best wishes, Rob

    Nice little boat, a few minor things to upgrade - clean interested to see you fold it up and trailer it. 👍👍

      Thanks Jeff! First project will be to get it on a trailer and to get the mast down so I can get her home! Very tricky boat to move on a trailer that’s not made for it!

    My friend just sold his Telstar. We miss it greatly. It was so fast and versatile. So glad yours is so pristine and you’re enjoying it! Safe sailing!

    I would close up the thru hole for the marine head and install a compact "DIY" composting toilet. For no more use than it will see it will be better in the long run. 🤗 ⛵

    Sure you know this. But always tie your chain back to the cleat. Then take the load on a snubbing line.
    If you leave her on a mooring, also take a back up chain to the mooring.

    Im looking forward to seeing her come out the water.
    There is a Telstar 26 in Christchurch, people have been bailing rain water out if it for a few weeks to stop it sinking, i have neen told the owner has abandoned it completely 🙈

    • @AlexGoesSailing
      @AlexGoesSailing  Рік тому +2

      I know of that one actually. I think I know the person that will save it!

      @@AlexGoesSailing I was thinking about it too, if it's cheap enough.
      I know the owners first name and might know him by sight but nothing more.....
      The local harbour patrol are getting fed up with bailing it out at least once a week, it's been F8 today too, so they haven't been out to it today....

    Great boat.
    If you are altering the interior, i would not bother with the navigation station, or at least the chart table. That’s what an iPad is for. You will use that area for cooking preparation.
    Now what you are missing is a wet locker next to the companion way, which could take up half the unused chart table. Fix a waterproof curtain between a wet area, cooking, navigation, wet locker, and the sitting/ sleeping area.
    And of course you will need heating.
    If you are stuck for a week waiting out gales, the whole boat can become damp and miserable.

      @AlexGoesSailing  Рік тому

      There will be a few upgrades to the interior! I agree that in the winter it will need some form of heating!

    Hi Alex !
    Nice boat that you bought...love it! Sailing a small english sailing vessel as a monohull: Halcyon 23. Cause of speed and making dintances a little bit faster/shorter (and sailing one-handed) i am just looking for a foldable trimaran. May i ask, how much you have to pay for a boat like this?! i am sailing in the Netherlands mostly...but was in Lowestoft, Harwich and Ipswich this year with some felows.It was a very nice trip...but sailing from NL to UK lasts a litle too long...Thanks for your feedback. PN me please - if you wanne be discrete...:)
    Best regards from Germany, Linus

      Thank you and that’s really cool. I got this one for a bargain but this boat typically goes for £60kish. Only really in America but that just what it is. Might sell at the end of next year.
