Kevin’s just stressed bcs no one gets the way he wanted it to be done. Just hire a real chefs that’s experienced like him. It’ll make the job easy. Only Kevin who’s the only one that’s serious prepping all the Mise and everyone is just fooling ard, giving unnecessary opinions and saying that they’re tired. He should have open his own restaurant instead of managing over with someone just using him for a content. Huge respect for Kevin but I think it’s not going to work out seeing it chaotic from the day it opened. “Sense of urgency”
I really want to thank Tina for showing us the behind-the-scenes of a restaurant. Like I said earlier, it just increased my respect and love for them. I wish I could go there.
I feel the same way! Do you know if their restaurant is doing well though? I just wonder if they get enough business because I saw in another person's vlog that more tourists or foreigners living in Korea visit the restaurant
The evolution of this channel and her life is fascinating to watch. From watching her make shin ramen hacks to opening her own restaurant and giving us behind the scenes footage of how it all actually functions, I love this content.
You can sense a power struggle in the restaurant between Tina and Kevin, which of course is natural in any restaurant setting. It was interesting to see the tasting process as you can clearly see Kevin disagrees with most of what's said. The way I saw it was Kevin having a little bit of an internal struggle with keeping his dishes while accommodating Tina's feedback and some of the other new chef's dishes being added to the menu.
I agree this was very obvious. Hopefully for them they are able to not let their personal and work life influence one another too much and lead to bigger issues. Seems kind of difficult cause their personal and work life do overlap in their case.
A recurring theme of the vlogs also seem to be Kevin being annoyed at Tina's antics. Understandably though since it looks like a stressful environment to run a restaurant. Hopefully all goes well
In what world does Tina have any right to dish out criticism especially when it comes to fine dining. She honestly doesn't seem like she even does much.
@@Tiffany-dw1yp tbh i think its good, then she can be the more warm person, he needs emotional support from her more than anything if he is stressed out
Amazing, I can see that Kevin is very creative at heart and takes this very seriously which is great, just hope he doesn't take any criticism too serious. In the end of the day we don't really need to work this hard, it's easy to get caught in the system of profit and all kinds of expectations but in the end we're supposed to have fun and enjoy life.
ah ive been craving something like this for awhile now. This feels fresh and nostalgic for older cooking shows I used to watch. Test kitchens are cool and I appreciate how calm this is too
I love Kevin perfectionism. I have that trait to and sometimes you get really caught up in so much ideas but when you need to perform on your highest level it really helps
This is honestly so amazing to watch and so incredibly entertaining that it doesn’t even feel like youtube anymore. Filming the whole process of a newly established restaurant with such good editing, simply amazing. Feels like we should pay to see this lol.
I am a huge fan of Tina since she started the first contents on Tiktok, I went to mija Seoul and had a great dinner yestersay. It was amazing course meal, I was so pround of the course meal as Korean, what they’ve crated. Each dish was so creative and delectbale. I just booked another time in Fall watching this video. I can’t wait to try the fall menu! ❤
New dude with ponytail can use a hair net. Afraid of his hair falling in the food. With the female chef - how cool that she worked with Kevin in Denmark. World sure is a small place, afterall. Can't wait to try this place on my travel to Seoul.
I love to see the "behind the scenes" i found so interesting how they work and brainstorm different ideas to make a perfect dish. Wow, cooking is it's own science, huh
This video has been by far my most favorite. It was edited so nice and personal in a way. It kinda felt like a documentary but cooler idk lol. 100/10 I could watch hrs of these it’s so Interesting ❤😊
Watching at 2am. And the intensity of the chefs' dedication to their craft made me rise up and do my readings for an upcoming exam. I guess, I won't be sleeping tonight. Keep it going T and K!
Watching your team and Kevin putting so much effort to prepare the fall season actually really inspired me. This video made me reflect on myself- if I ever have put this much of effort and passion into something I want to pursue. Your team looks amazing!
My husband and I went to Mija Seoul while we were in Korea this summer. The course menu was defo one of our favourite meals we had in Seoul! Can't wait to go back to Mija Seoul next time we are back in Korea :) Keep up the great work, Team Mija Seoul!!
Watching how the Kevin, Tina, Daniel, and, Yuna work throughout the deadline with such respect towards each other, and from what was portrayed in this video, they're all so supportive with each other. This is what I miss from working at restaurants. Thank you for the video. I wish you guys the upmost best!
Doobie you cannot believe how much your video made my day. I just loved seeing the behind the scenes of everything you're trying to build at ur place, and the rawness of it is something i very much appreciate. i loved how much you tried to portray the daily struggles and uncertainties and show the audience the imperfect nature of it all. thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you're doing and i really hope you'll find the success you envision with your restaurant and your team!!
One of your best videos in my opinion. I love seeing the struggle and process of making the menu. It's more raw and perhaps more real. Can't wait for part 2.
can I just say that I appreciate restaurant owners so much more since this part of your life. LIke seeing all the hard work and passion and dedication and hours. Thank you for this.
The timing is always impeccable. I love seeing Tina & Team Mija Seoul work so meticulously towards their goals and dreams. Motivates me to work towards mine just as meticulously. 💗 Thank You 💗
I love how much of a natural leader Kevin is, like he was born for this. It's a rarer skill than most people think, because anyone can be a leader but not everyone can LEAD. And Tina being the life of the party in such a serious environment is such a refreshing contrast. I love watching you two in the kitchen and even in your daily vlogs, such a powerful dynamic!
Can this channel get any better!!! 🤩 I love so much this mix of vlog-documentary style along with cooking, food and cultural elements all wrapped up in Tina's unique style of sharing stories!
As an american I am so amazed that we don’t have a place like this, especially in our ultra-consumerist society. The largest restaurant warehouse that im aware of is this place called Restaurant depot that is pretty much the size of an average walmart. I’d kill for a field trip to Garak Market!!
Its because cities are too spread out in America, there is too much land and not enough density to support massive markets like this. So most of America's food gets delivered to the restaurants on a truck instead of the restaurant buying a truck for their own personal use and going to the market in person.
Brilliant! I love it so much. I love how we got to know the staff this time. How they got to introduce themselves, the fast forwards while sharing thoughts. It was so inspiring. I'm just really curious, how do you come up with your video ideas and make them into this piece of art. Would love to learn from your creation process. And please let me know if you've ever done a video about it. I will gladly watch it.
I guess culinary schools teach you to think outside of the box when it comes to food, but who the hell wants to eat half an onion in some mystery liquid?
What a delightful watch! loved watching the whole creative process of creating a menu, It was honestly super interesting, from imagining it to experimenting with the flavors, and seeing if they work or not, it's an insane amount of work really.
I really love these types of videos where we get to see the creation of the menus. It makes me want to eat at the restaurant even more ahhhh!! Can't wait to visit Seoul some day and eat at your place!
knowing ill never be able to work in a restaurant due to a neuro/developmental disorder. seeing you and your team work at the restaurant brings me a sense of peace and happiness because it feels like I'm also part of it. so proud of you Tina and Kevin for pursuing and making your guys dreams come true. I believe in your success and cannot wait to visit one day. Also the improvement of videography + editing is amazing. Remember to all of you to always take breaks 💛
He is such an accomplished and amazing chef. What an inspiration! I love the whole dynamic of the place. Thanks for the behind the scenes video. Absolutely loved it ❤❤❤
I feel I'm watching K-drama verison of The Bear, lol kidding but seriously I love love love getting to see behind the scenes and watching the whole team's dynamic. It's fascinating to see the elimination process when coming up with a menu and seeing everyone's strengths at play while communicating with one another, thanks for sharing with us!
This episode brought back so many childhood memories. I used to go to Garak si Jang 30+ years ago with my parents to get seafood since we lived 20 mins away. The freshest seafood you can get. I need to make sure to go back if I ever visit Seoul. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this, it allows all of us to further understand the process you go through as a team, just to put together something we see as a simple menu. But for Kevin and team the pressure to provide a truly unique dining experience. Yeah having a drunk crash into your car, just sucks, what a frustrating way to end a night.
Great video, as always, I enjoyed it so much. By the way, I was wondering how did the situation with your landlord end? Is it resolved or still pending? You put so much work into this place, I cannot imagine losing it..
I just make hobakjuk after watching your video when you made it in your home kitchen and it's so cool now watching you make a modern rendition of it for the restaurant!
You really went and found a danish chef there 😂 as a dane myself I'm happy, denmark is known for their crazy restaurants and Michelin stars. Even your English is turning dinglish 😂❤
Kevin is a real-life embodiment of what the movie portrays chefs to be. the struggle for him is real yet he never surrenders
yeah .. bc he's a chef lmfao
which movie

He looks like an ex convict drug addict like most chefs
All the review videos of her restaurant trash her trash food.
I really want to thank Tina for showing us the behind-the-scenes of a restaurant. Like I said earlier, it just increased my respect and love for them. I wish I could go there.
I think like that too
Watching Kevin be stressed made me stressed, You can tell he really cares about the recipes and making everything perfect for Mija Soul
Me too 😭🤚

Watching Kevin in his element is so motivating and inspiring
I wanted to say this, too! Everyone makes me want to work hard and be passionate in my life
All the review videos of her restaurant trash her trash food.
I worked with Daniel for a short time before as a line cook - it's cool to see how his cooking journey has taken him here. Best of luck to you all!

oh my goodness that sweet potato ice cream looked amazing
That woman offering free yogurt is the sweetest thing ever.
The lady who gave the yogurt drink was so kind 🥺

Invite all your vendors to eat at your restaurant so they can see the culmination of how their product is being used!
no.
Worst advice.
Great idea and a show of gratitude!
It’s a nice gesture but merchants at the wholesale warehouse may not necessarily appreciate fine dining -small portions and food artistry.
What for?

Kevin does a lot of the work. He works hard and you can tell he cares about what he does. Credit goes to him all the way!!
