Thank you for reef teach information I looked through many sunscreens and ordered one which was deceptive...will be returning it and getting properly safe one.
Thank you for this wonderful video! I'll be there in 2 days for my 5th time but I have never been to this particular beach so I'm excited to check it out!
My pleasure! Hope you have a great time DD. I will miss you this year. We are not arriving until early April but will be moving there permanently this fall so maybe I'll catch you on your 6th visit.
This is our second time visiting the Island, and today is actually our last day on the Island. We wish we discovered this video earlier, so we could have a chance to explore this interesting beach. Oh well, need to save it for our next visit. Thank you for this wonderful video❤️
Great beach and snorkeling information. Will use when we go there in Feb 2024. Wonderful Drone footage and informative. I really enjoyed the underwater video, fishes and music. Felt like I was snorkeling with you.
Have to agree, I have spent many a day and night there and it is fine, a little hard to get in the deeper part of the bay because of rocks but all in all just fine. It's wonderful for snorkeling, deepest part is about 25 to 30 feet but most of it is 15 to 20 feet very clean and clear water and a fine place to have a family event. My kids grew up there and have no fear of the ocean, now in their 30's and certified divers and also surfers, they love the Ocean and what it has to offer.
Epic! I can't believe i finally found this. Thanks for interviewing Ben and I at Kahaluu Bay Surf and Sea, Adventureman. It was a pleasure to meet You and You've turned us into smalltime celebrities. People keep recognizing me from this video. Haha! Aloha Pumehana (forever)!
Aloha, great video and information. Family’s first trip be there July 8th. Will check this out. DIG the scooter session that’s rad. Would love to do that. What do you think about the newer full face snorkel setup? Hope you well. Mahalo
Saying you love Kona is like saying you love napa county. Kona is not a town nor a city it is a region. You are driving in Kailua. In the region of Kona. I know they don't call it a county but it is like saying l love puna and talking about Pahoa.
I'm a resident so I don't have to pay but I get where you're coming from as I've been to places that charge way too much. It really leaves a bad experience to me and made me reflect negatively on the experience. Quarry Lake in Canmore, Canada charged 20 bucks to park, I was so mad I left lol. Like, charge 5 bucks...still not happy but hey it's not crazy. Having said that, this beach park is excellent. Heck just talking to the friends of the reef is probably worth your money. There is also limited street parking both on Alii Drive and the road right across the beach park entrance if you want to go and save the $ to buy half a lunch.
I remember you, you squeak when you walk cuz ur butt is sooooo TIGHT! You probably don’t like to pay taxes too but expect to drive on well paved roads🤡
One of my favorite beaches! Great for snorkeling! Don't use polluting sunscreen! ❤
Thank you for the super informative video. This is the only video I’ve found about surfing on the big island.
No matter where you go, it’s paradise.
So right paradise is a state of mind not a place.. although if you like warm weather

I feel the same way about driving on Ali'i. It puts you in that aloha!
I lived there in the mid seventies. It was beautiful back then now ali'i drive is a bunch of tourist shops and eateries.
Just got back last week. 2 step was amazing snorkeling
Awesome video and great informative! Very professionally done. Hats off to you, the underwater and above water cameraman.
Thanks Gilbert!
Very informative Thank you. Planing to visit the big island in July, 2023. I've been to Maui, Oahu, and Kauai.
Gorgeous photography
Two step is the best for snorkeling.
Thank you for the wonderful video! We loved it. What’s the name of the song in the middle of the video? So appropriate!
Song names and artists are listed at the end of the video. Also listed in the description box below the video.

Thank you for the video . Can I ask what brand of the swimming sock you used? Are there sea scooter for rent around the beach?
What camera did you use for under water shots?
No sneakers for walking on the reef?
No we do not walk on the reef! Ha Ha!
