having had members of that record BD corps stay at my place and being old school I think the 2002 Cav's show was the most accurate performance ever.

the cadets in 2005 OWNED DCI that year 5 out of 5 captions
99.65 was justified by the brilliant concept. Fellini, the filmmaker, surrounded himself with desperate actors and pathetic circus performers. Their hubris, their risk-taking, and their bathos were a near perfect match for this broken, soul-searching, powerful genre of drum corps.

So here's a question.
Will any corps ever score 100.00, and does anyone think it's even *possible?*
theoretically yes, but it would take some stars aligning. i don’t think a perfect overall music score has ever been achieved, because that would require a flawless brass line, percussion, and everything in between, plus they would need the same miracle as BD 2014 when EVERY single GE and visual judge gave a perfect score. even one judge across the panel giving a 19.95/20 immediately eliminates the possibility of a perfect score.
It’s as possible as a corps ever scoring a big fat zero.

DCI Blue devils get some! I wish I had my drum kit still. I repented it out with you and I would be pounding it out with you if I had some Styx we're just going to leave that one like it is
blue devils have 20 wins where as the corp with the second amount of wins is the cadets with 10

Why was 2002 and 2005 cropped into a 16:9 aspect ratio?
It was probably recorded in that ratio. Although, I'm not entirely certain of this.
@@elricb1488 I have the 2002 and 2005 DVDs, as well as the DCI Essentials Collection: Champions 1 Blu-ray Disc (which has 2005 Cadets), in addition to the DCI Essentials Collection: Champions 2 Blu-ray Disc (which has 2002 Cavaliers). All of the above are in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Blue Devils 2023 just knocked down Blue Devils 2010 to 6th place.

Comparing scores year to year is pointless.
The Blue Devils have such boring shows. Boring to watch and boring to listen to.
I wouldn't say they're ALL boring; however, I will say that I'd personally like it if they did majority marching AND playing at the same time instead of just doing their hardest music standing still.

The judges SERIOUSLY need to stop handing wins to the Blue Devils. Their only good show was 2017. I don’t care what anyone says. Also, DCI peaked with Santa Clara Vanguard in 2018. You can’t change my mind.

Metamorph is dogshit. BD 19 > 14 > 18 > 15 > 16 > 17
But what’s the incentive for something like that? DCI is operated by the corps themselves. What do all the corps stand to gain by giving BD all the wins?
@@thebundinator9243 I won’t deny that BD14 was good. It was a great show! Was it worth being given the highest score in history? In my opinion, Tilt was better, so no.
@@williamsanborn9195 tilt had one good moment, the rest of it was mediocre
Bluecoats should have won this year, but I see why they didn't. For example, the trumpets were really dirty with some features/runs (Really sad) because I loved the Trumpet feature during the Keytar solo, but it was dirty. Also, the color guard feature felt really prolonged after the Keytar solo. off topic, but yeah.

BAC should've won, they completely stepped up their game on EVERYTHING. Not to mention their brass was crown level
