- As sexual assault lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs started to roll in at the end of 2023, the rapper was also dealing with a separate suit against the alcohol company Diageo. Combs claimed they didn’t pay enough attention to the brands he represented because he’s Black. But when accusations started becoming public, the suit came to an end. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber takes a look at the lawsuit, the outcomes, and the implications with criminal defense and civil rights attorney Tyler Bailey.

The first mistake was 30 years ago. This is a long time coming.
People are saying that someone from Diageo reached out to Cassie and encouraged the lawsuit. It’s believable but if they didn’t have any dirt on him, he wouldn’t be in this mess now. At the end of the day, he did the crimes.
There is no proof that anyone reached out to her. He did alot of folks dirty including his artists and now some else did him "dirty". He got a taste of his own medicine and his ego was not having it.

Diddy was correct. In 2009 Ciroc sold 400k cases. In 2015 they hit 2.6 million cases. 2023 they dropped off to 1.7 mil cases but that was due to Diddy not promoting because of the lawsuit

I was immediately thinking that probably gave Cassie the leverage to come out and sue. It must have suited someone bigger or equal to Diddy to get rid of him and maybe dirty other secrets. There is no coincidence in timing!
