  • This coneflower is a new addition this year that I almost ended up taking out. The blooms started a dull green color so I wasn’t to impressed with it. Luckily I decided to just let it do it’s thing and now the color is looking good.

One thing I started noticing with my first year of having Echinacea P. Green Twister is that they are the first variety of coneflowers that gets powdery mildew. I live in zone 7B, and I think it has to do with the texture of their foliage. I noticed they have a more stiff and rough-like texture to their leaves compared to other varieties of coneflowers. Maybe the powdery mildew clings onto this kind of foliage easier.

I’ll have to check that on mine, but so far no mildew
