Clear, clean tutorial. I hope your Scouts are more attuned to knots than those here in the States.

I think it's the same everywhere, a mixture of skill and interest, I was demonstrating how to make rope yesterday at a local museum, I had one child about 12 made a 1m length of rope and left with a sheet of knots to practice with and then another about 10 stay for about 30 mins and learnt about 5 and I gave them a little booklet, that child picked it up so quickly. I was happy to know that both showed an interest and one looked like they really wanted to learn.
My aim and attitude towards teaching knots is more to inspire than to teach, if they only learn one knot but want to learn more, that's better than them learning six and not wanting to learn any more.
I know that my view is biased towards knots, but I think it's a great skill to have and everyone should learn about six basic knots for everyday life, unfortunately they don't teach it in schools. I'm hoping with this play list it might make it easier for shout leaders and the scouting family to learn.
      thank you for your comment.
