I own a Falcon Xbox 360 and i just cleaned the fans and the heat sinks and when i can i will surely change the thermal paste of the CPU and the GPU to make it live for other 16 years (its from August 2008)
Don't do anything else. This console has a reliable gpu
The bolt mod did 'fix' some 360s for a while, but IMO it was a better mod as a preventative tactic. I did a bunch of work to my Jasper MB 360 back in the day, including a bolt mod and the better GPU heatsink from the Zephyr generation. Zero issues on that console to this day.
Why??? The bold mod will just destroy it! It is already more reliable than the slims and now your just warping the board
@@Josh-Barnett Exactly the opposite. The X clamps warp the board. When you do it preventively, you don't overtighten it like this guy. Mine's been going strong for 12 years now.
@danielschulz4930 no the bolts warp the board. If your board is warped then that's your tault. The x clamps work fine and were never the problem
@danielschulz4930 stop saying "ItS beCaUSe hE OVertIgHteNEd iT". The bolt mod will always warp the board, no matter what because unlike the x clamps there's no room for the board to flex slightly when it heats and cools and it warps the board. That's why the heatsink feels loose with the x clamps
@@Josh-Barnett You can have that opinion if you want! Picking a fight with me over the Internet about something so inconsequential isn't interesting to me. Have a good one!
If the bolt mod is only a temp fix why bother?
Since my main experience with 360s is the use of a mate's Elite, a borrowed Slim and my own Slim, even though another mate got a 360 in preperation for Halo 3's release, it feels weird, despite how many of these I've seen, to see an Xbox 360 without an HDMI port! Am I the only one? Am I jus crazy? Does anyone else agree? Also, I don't even know if there's any point me entering for any free games since I'm in the UK and I seriously doubt any of them will be PAL Region! Unless there's DS... can't see it, though...
Could someone explain them implications of Microsoft shutting down the Xbox 360 store? Won't be able to update it? Obviously won't be able to access any of the content.
I got a 360 that has both the bolt mod and the fan mod. It's loud as a jet engine but it runs. I did end up just buying a slim to play instead
6:02 welcome to xbox airlines 😂
If you had a Xbox 360 camera, you could photograph yourself and put a picture of yourself.
How do the 360s get the red ring of death?
from naughty gamers playing their consoles too much
@@pepsidude8919My 360 is pretty loud. Is that normal or should I open it up? Thanks
@@ItsJeepb You might want to open it up just to be on the safe side probably and you're welcome too. I had a PS3 that I got from Amazon many years ago, which was one of the PS2 backwards compatible models, and since it was a used console obviously, I remember the fan on that PS3 being very loud although it worked for a short period of time before it finally got the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD) which is similar to the Xbox 360's Red Ring of Death problem.
@@pepsidude8919 I have the slim model. Is that still Susceptible to the Red ring of death?
@@ItsJeepb I've heard of some of the Slim models of the Xbox 360 getting the Red Ring of Death too since it is possible for them to still get them, but the Slim models don't seem to be as prone to the Red Ring of Death as the original models since the Red Ring of Death seems to happen more on the original models than the Slim versions. I have an Xbox 360 Slim model myself too which I've had now for almost eight years already since I first got it back in the summer of 2016 for my birthday from GameStop and I haven't had any problems with it so far, even eight years later almost.
ay does whatnot ship to romania?
I really hope that you fix other consoles from texas and hampton haul like that backwards compatible ps3 with YLOD
What made the Texas Load come back
Joined whatnot! Can’t wait to play Deathloop! Thank you!
let's goo I love deathloop
I’ve been into collecting for a while but just recently got my first console which is an nes, which I had to fix. So if there are any of those 360’s that you wont ever do anything with let me know, and I’d love to get my hands on one and fix it!
Don't bother. The only way is a gpu replacement. You want a red ringed 360 to play with, find a late 08 console which most likely has a power issue
I thought this was hampton haull??
I love your vids!
That thumbnail of the broken xbox 360, that is what this 2nd n64 console I have is about to look like, been trying to sell it for $70 dropped it down to $60 still couldn't sell it I'm about to take the hookups, controller, game and jumper pak and bust the rest.
Why is there a Modchip? What's is that @ 3:08 ???
There’s no modchip
@@IMDYT420 3:01 bottom Right
@@samyhx896 im not seeing what you’re seeing, all I see is an Xbox 360 that’s been bolt modded, which isn’t good for the console. and anyways modchips would be installed near the av port, no one installs modchips on the bottom of the board.
everytime i get rrod i just bang it and turn it on and it works fine
I wish for 1-4 hours video fixing xbox 360's!!! :DDDDD

When it gets red ring of death so sad Rest In Peace to the Xbox 360s that passed own in this video. The Xbox 360s Got Took The L Am I Right take the l from these 360s Aye.
Feeler gauge the motherboard gauge the washers then match to chip height then attach thermal pads to back of motherboard on ram spots and back of CPU / GPu and on top on ram and South bridge I also put one on the DVD drive chip but you don't have to , A ... Xbox ,360 NITR0
The motherboard has to flex just a tiny tiny tiny bit to kiss the heatsinks if you do it right / 3+ years daily gamer then paste clean and maintenance to continue
Dude, learning a lot from you and other channels about the 360. Thanks for making me confident enough to try to repair my old 360 Elite. Bad benq drive and overheating
i think you had the wrong intro there jacob
No I didn't. The first 2 consoles are from the texas load
why is this coming out so late then? xD@@jrob0021
My sister says you look like Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers 💋💋
its just fun to fix the xbox360 i have one too same issue , everyone went to ps3 because of that issue .

I had a 2006 non hdmi 360 that had 3 ring rrod. But if i heated it up for 5 minutes the gpu validation would pass and it would start working again.
