My girls! Idk what I would do without them! I’ve been on my loc journey for 3 years and and both crissa and Jenna have helped through the whole process! I was one of the first to be in the new salon and I just loveeeeee it so much! I see Jenna every 2 months and my appointments with her are legit the best days. She has become one of my best friends over my loc journey and I’m so blessed to have her in my life! As a stylist myself (15 yrs of doing only children’s hair), I’m hoping to take a one on one class with crissa some point this year! 🥰
I love everything about this! Such beautiful stories, hair, salon, everything. I’m so happy for them! Thank you for sharing, so excited to see the rest!!
I so appreciate this story. I am new to the spirt noodle journey. Right now I am 5 weeks into my natural locks. Next week I go for my first maintenance with my fantastic lock artist! 8 years I’ve been waiting for a skilled artist to cross my way and she’s been in my hometown for a couple years now. So exciting! 🙌
I absolutely love this. I felt all the feels, I was getting emotional during Carissa’s explanation as to why she needed to make this change happen. I don’t know you ladies but I am proud of you for making yourself a priority, I see a shift in a lot of people recently as far as being successful and having the “it” business which was the priority over anything for so long. Working your a$$ off for others to reap the benefits, because the stress of running a bigger business has made so many sick (including my own self). I can see it all over Carissa’s face and hear it in her voice that she needed to make a change and choice. WAY TO GO GIRLS!! Now go live your LIFE!!!
Liz! You have such an amazing way of showcasing people’s stories and their incredible spaces. Crissa and Jenna, I am thrilled that you have your own space. I am so proud of you ! I’m picturing myself now scooting up those steps now! 😅 so much love you for for ladies 💕 Incredibly grateful for the dreadlock community
Great lil place, and what GORGEOUS hair these artists have, ooh la-la!! Congrats, ladies! So much fun to see. Best of luck to you! And, as a client, I much prefer a beautiful small space where I know the artist only has to concentrate on me...'tis a luxury, and such wonderful self care time.
I love the new space!!! It looks so welcoming!! It really resonated with me when Crissa mentioned the need for more peace. I can relate! Love these videos Liz!

How sweet!! ❤ Very cool of you to spotlight some of the other talent in your industry, Liz! You're a boon to dreadlock artists everywhere. Way to go!! Ending was fine... 😅 Looking forward to your next installment!
Was Crissa a redhead?? It’s not easy finding hair that matches my color red. Hers are sooo pretty!!! Making dreads is therapeutic to me. I just love it. I’m so happy for you ladies. Your salon is beautiful!!!
I just got all of the supplies that I thought I’d need to start locking my hair…. this is something I’ve wanted for YEARS now. At first I them because I simply love the way they look, but that wasn’t a good enough reason for myself to do it. Up until the past year or two the “wanting” is becoming to feel like a NEED. I would be able to sit and talk with you (in person), when I learned that you live in NH the first thought that came to my mind was, “Shiiiiit, I live in and I’d be more than willing to drive NH to check out your studio, maybe go for a hike and talk dread talk!”. I know you’ve come to Maine to do hair, but I’d be so happy to take a road trip myself.😊

Are you familiar with any artists in Lafayette Indiana?
*At one point Crissa says, "I was in my mid 30's..." What? Her mid thirties are behind her?? She barely looks 30 now!!
