@@Mouse01011 I'm making jokes about 1984 Sheena Easton. I'm not running for president, Actually, I thought about saying if that doesn't make you straight nothing will! Hell, I am gay but still hard-wired enough to spend the night inside those sugar walls! Even though it would have been statutory rape until the year 1987! LOL! In reality, they probably did have conversion therapy back then and it was even worse than it is now.

In the history of confident performers (and I mean performers that looked at the camera with confidence and did not get nervous) there have only been a few to be able to look at the camera with a truly dominating look. Not even Madonna or Michael Jackson were that confident. Even Elvis showed shyness once in a while. But, Sheena Easton and Susanna Hoffs from the group The Bangles looked at the camera like they were born to be a star and with the most confidence I have ever seen. It really is incredible to watch her look. Even today on an old VHS video that look is still powerful !!! That is how a true star dominates a performance !!

    strut - Sheena Easton
He said, "Baby, what's wrong with you?
Why don't you use your imagination ?
Nations go to war over women like you,
it's just a form of appreciation
Come on over here, lay your clothes on the chair
Now let the lace fall across your shoulder
Standing in the half light, you're almost like her
So take it slow like your daddy told you"
    Chorus:
Strut pout, put it out, that's what you want from women
Come on baby, what'cha taking me for
Strut pout, cut it out, all taking and no giving
Watch me baby while I walk out the door
I said, "Honey, I don't like this game,
you make me feel like a girl for hire
All this fascination with leather and lace is just the smoke from another fire"
He said, "Honey, don't stop a speeding train
    before it reaches its destination
Lie down here beside me, oh, have some fun too
Don't turn away from your true vocation"
    chorus
I won't be your baby doll, be your baby doll
I won't be your baby doll, be your baby doll
    (Instrumental break)
    chorus x 3

    FUN FACTS:
This song Strut was not written by Prince. Prince did write Sugar Walls for Sheena that is also on the same album of Strut. So, he heard Strut being prepared. Then, he talked about this song with Madonna who at the same time was recording her album Like A Virgin and Prince was dating Madonna at the time. In that album Madonna recorded the song Material Girl. Both Strut and Material girl have the same sharp dry symmetrical drums that Prince and Michael Jackson made famous. It is said that Prince influenced how the drums sounded in those two songs Strut and Material Girl. No wonder these songs still sound great in 2023. Also, if you didn't know Prince secretly wrote the song called What Have You Done For Me Lately for Janet Jackson. It is said he did it in secret to get back at Janet's brother for outshining his success with the album Thriller which sold a lot more than his Purple Rain album. With Prince help Janet's album with that song he composed for her has sold over 10 million copies and put Janet firmly on top of the charts the year it came out. So, Prince had a hand in those three songs that have great drum rhythm. That dude was on his own level. Now imagine all the songs still in his vault that no one has ever heard.

@@randolphduke That is true. I think Sheena is probably the best artist at getting every ounce of emotion out of her vocal chords. If you haven't look up the Lost Odyssey OST and the two vocal tracks the game has were both done by Sheena Easton and she could control those cords rather well.

@@randolphduke I never played the game, but I don't have to get emotional on her tracks. Her voice is just as magical at nearly 50 as it was when she was in her 20s.
